    He seriously lost all his power. I don't understand what the hell happened. His approach isn't even awful, he draws walks when they're given to him. He just can't make good contact at all.

    No, Zeuch has literally been terrible. He has been exactly as terrible as most of us expected, arguably even worse. The defensive miscues are a distraction from the fact that he's not striking anyone out, giving up a ton of hard hit contact and having runners on base all the time. The "stat book" doesn't care about what the defense does because all it matters is that balls are being put into play in the first place; and importantly, they're not being put into play weakly so we can't say he's been unlucky. If Palacios catches that then Zeuch was lucky that allowing a 325 flyball didn't result in damage, same with any line drive that's hit off him and happens to find a glove.

    The ball had an EV of 98 and an xBA of .470, it's also entirely possible that this 325 flyball was a gapper or down the line and scores the run anyway, or maybe Bruce comes up and crushes one too feeling less pressure from driving in the runners in scoring position. It's not exactly like a routine pop up was dropped.

    The Palacios play was bad but it still doesn't excuse Zeuch from giving up another 325 foot flyball (this was the actual distance). The best way to not get burned by s***** defense is to not allow hitters to put the ball in play often, and the second best is to at least keep hitters off-balance and induce weak contact, neither of which has been an ability that Zeuch has demonstrated. His xERA after yesterday's game increased to 9.79. He's not fooling anyone.

    What are you talking about lol? Zeuch has been god awful and was no better today. He got 3 swings and misses out of 62 pitches, gave up a ton of loud contact and had a 1:1 K/BB ratio. By most relevant stats including xERA he's been one of the worst pitchers in the league, he is dead last in WAR among starters with at least 10 innings. You should still have zero faith in him.

    Vlad's sprint speed is now 60th percentile. Also how did Trea Turner get faster? That's nuts. He's already been in the 99-100th percentile his entire career and now he's faster? Ridiculous stuff.

    I don't get what the big deal is. Bo smoked that, it was a moonshot so maybe looked like a playable flyball off the bat but he knew he got all of that one. Not like in Yankee Stadium where guys think they hit a pop up and slam their bat down only for it to be 3 rows deep.

    Yeah the ump missed what could have been strike 3 but that doesn't excuse Zeuch from throwing some awful hanging sliders.
