    We traded Snider for Lincoln who at the time looked like a decent starter. But it seems all Beeston can think about is ' relief pitching. " That is a losers attitude. That is what relief pitchers are for, to come in and try to save a losing game. If your goal is not to lose, that is what will happen, you will LOSE! (HOW YOU THINK) Its THE LAW OF ATTRACTION, If your goal is to win, that is what will happen, you will win. Einstien and Edison proved this to be true 100 years ago. Those two guys are not idiots! I hate the word Karma, because it has been so misused the past 40 years. Still Stupid? If you play to win and have the talent, you will win, if you play NOT To LOSE like the Jays do, you will lose.

    Too many dumb teen-agers on this site. Smartypants, explain to me why was Lincoln sent down after pitching four scoreless innings? The ANS: Because he would not be ready to pitch in relief again for 4 or 5 days. So set his but in Buffalo for 4 or 5 days instead of here. Its not rocket science. Do you have a brain? If so, try using it. "this comment makes no sense"

    I understand the Reyes part, but what is this TURNAROUND??? It's the middle of June and we are 8 games below .500. Hey only three losses and we will reach our all time worse this year of 11 games below .500. 15 below .500 by the All-Star break sounds more realistic.

    So this is what it has become. Lincoln pitches four scoreless innings, so his arm is too tired until Monday. So go there and set around. No wonder Buffalo hates Toronto. If I was Ralph Wilsons son, I'd go out of my way to make sure the buyers of the Bills WERE NOT Canadians! But the LA people who want a team back in Los Angeles. I guess then we Toronto fans will have to choose between Foxes NY Giants and CBS's NY. Jets, or subscribe to Rogers 36 dollar thing to CHOOSE your NFL team of your choice. The point is that in most losing MLB markets at least they have a football team to look forward to in September unlike here in Toronto.......CFL is just bush league, not to mention phony!

    Think you Abom. I didn't know that. Lind had a great season in 2009, but like V. Wells....... I thought I may be seeing the same thing here.

    I listened to the interview. "we gotta get gose hitting in buffalo" taint going to happen. In my opinion Lind will be good this year, but a liability in the years, 14, 15 and 16. A second taint. So with Gibbons the Jays chances are twice tainted. 1. TAINT gonna win this year, and 2. Taint gonna win next year. I have to admit Gibbons sounded so much more normal that those tapes on Mike Wilners show when the interviewers interviewing Gibbons sound like they are in a funerel parlor, as if they are down on their knees asking the big manager questions.

    I like Davis. When he reaches base unlike Gose he doesn't waste time to steal second. Plus he can hit a lot better then Gose. We hired Tim Raines to teach Gose how to steal bases, was that yet another waste of money?

    no, i'm always in a hurry when on the net don't have the time to hear gibbons and his opinion of the future of gose, romero (shock treatment, it helps you forget recent bad thoughts), and mr lind who zaun said is a star and is now, but not 2014 - 2017. after he has already suked some gm into giving him a big contract for 4 years.

    A company owning a team is the worst receipe, because they don't care who wins, all they care about is advertising their company product. Steinbrenner watched the great Yankee dynasty from Cleveland, (where I'm from), and after 1965 to 1971 saw the Yankees waste away, he said "baseball is not the same without the Yankees being the team to beat, so for about 13 million he brought the Yankees. The Yankees went on to become a semi-great team from 1976 to today. But not the great teams from 1923 to 1965. I'm simply saying that the Blue Jays need an owner like ONE MAN who puts an emphasis on winning, NOT RELATIONS WITH THE PUBLIC LIKE BEESTON DOES. Beeston does this or that, not because the Jays will win, but because the public will approve of it.

    Those excivessive HR swings was our downfall in April when they really believed they were Gods like Rogers made them out to believe. And they still show their commercials coming out with super God and Macho stances, it makes you want to puke your guts up.

    The baseball draft is as exciting as the all star game. The guy you draft # 1 could be a bum, the guy you draft # 15 could be that next Hall of Famer. Thats baseball. (draft time )

    Why are great future baseball players so hard to find compared to other sports? Yes you can learn so much from Pro coaches. But tell that to Romero and Gose. AA was so thrilled when he got Gose in a trade, He said all we have to do is teach him how to hit, HA HA HA, The man has to have a hitting aptitude, YOU JUST CANT LEARN ANY HUCKBERRY FIN HOW TO HIT! Other wise, grab M. Wilner, he's big, AA, Just Learn the dood how to hit, then we can get him off of TALK and make him a DH. People GOSE is not are best minor league prospect, he never hit anywhere before, and his 220 average is the best you are going to see. Too bad considering this dude could easily still 100 bases per season if he COULD hit.

    Thank you Abomination, Now I have a clear understanding where the Billionaires are and how there aren't as many as I thought. But who are those 25 Canadian Billionaires? BTW remember people you do not have to be smart to be a Doctor or a Lawyer. There are many dumb doctors and lawyers. Making money comes down to YOU, "HOW YOU THINK AND BELIEVE" Henry Ford once said, "IF YOU THINK (OR BELIEVE) YOU CAN OR CAN'T, YOU ARE RIGHT!" So many common folk think that they don't have the genes or DNA to be great, and then that BELIEF KILLS what they could have done.

    I'm sorry, I thought there were far more billionaires in the world. I think that there are but I forgot there are many reasons to keep quite about it. I guess we have passed a long long time between the first few millionaires and now billionaires. So Billionaire owners will be common when I'm old.

    My point is todays teen-agers are tomorrows billionaires. You need ONE owner (like New York) with a lot of money. So I'm hoping that a CANADIAN young man will read this and when he becomes the next Jobs or Gates and just happens to like baseball Toronto will finally be on a level playing field.

    The Yankees had the greatest team dynasty from 1923 to 1965. Why have the Yankees been so much better then the Blue Jays from 1985 to now? Because every winter they try to build a team that will be THE BEST! While the Jays owners try to build a team of .500 and HOPE that we may get lucky win 83 or 88 games and win a Wild Card spot. Are there not any Canadian Billionaires that happen to love baseball. You know like the Apple and Microsoft guys?

    errorcebia says Lawrie will be injury prone his whole career but he forgot to mention why, remember the caveman thousands of years ago, he'd step on the fire that was keeping him warm then scream OUCH! The same with Lawrie, he hasn't learned that if you run into a steel baricade, it will injure you.

McGowan, reports of his last game pitched were bad, i.e. he got knocked around a lot at triple A, but you have to remember pitching at triple A when you know from word of a coach, "your heading north boy in early June", like in Florida in March, he is just experimenting, ......don't know what to expect, but he has been getting paid for almost ten years for doing nothing for the Blue Jays! He to was originally slated to be a starter, but knowing todays ideas, he will be babied and relegated to the bullpen. "Gee can't throw no more than 20 pitches." If that was the case not so long ago, he would have never made it beyond little league.

    I agree, Delebar could also make a starting pitcher. Between 1901 and approximately 1971, the starters were the 4 best pitchers on the team, the bullpen guys were there just in case the starter got tired or was not himself. Today it has really gotton crazy! Back when I was about 10 in 1960's Warren Spahn of the Braves who pitched into his 40's went at it with W. Marichall of the San Francisco Giants, one of the teams won 1-0, but both pitchers went the full 16 innings! This was normal then. Nothing has changed! All this BS about innings pitched is JUST THAT B S ! Today Owners are PARANOID about the millions they have invested on this player and that player. So the players blackmail the owners and play them for a fool. But all our owner cares about is cable TV and all the free advertising that comes with owning the Blue Jays win or lose. (After many years, they did try for one good team) but this gives birth to another topic.

    Once and for all decide to allow steroids and their cousins or get rid of them. If the latter permantly ban all those who tried to cheat. Choose MLB one or the other! Who are you fooling by not letting Pete Rose in The Hall of Fame?
