  1. Flafson, the Blue Jays haven't had a bench all year long! Guys like Dave Derosa, the cute man from Japan, (haven't you Canadians ever seen a real live man from Japan?), Bonifacio etc and etc, you call that a bench?! No wonder we are a game below .500 and will be two games below after tonight. Please hold your insults, they serve no purpose.
  2. Whats the matter with Edwin? I guess he still has a sore throat. At least the camera gave us a close shot of EE and the man looked kool, so he wasn't drunk or hung-over, when a player shows up for a game, if he is drunk or hung over, management used to tell us he had the flu, but the fans caught on. now they tell us he is injured, a slight twinkle in his back. EE could have been used to bat for Kawasaki last night in a crucial game and situation but NO, when Johnny-boy Gibbons gives you the night off, you get the night off. BTW, THIS 2013 Blue Jays team HAS THE MOST PUTRID BENCH of any Major League team I have ever seen!
  3. Spanky, the Blue Jays are just not that good. If we was to get lucky and win a wild card spot with 83 wins and make the playoffs, it's my opinion Rogers would leave the team mediocre going into next year. But if it is clear four weeks today that we are not going to make the playoffs, they will then try again next year to be a great team like they did this past winter. Some people get the false impression that if we are sellers in late July, we'll have to wait five more years before we can contend. Selling only one or two players (or even 3 or 4) like Josh Johnson isn't going to set us back five years. Rogers will put up the money when the time is right and I hope they don't think a .500 club in late July is worth buying some of these players I've read about in this thread.
  4. GSNARLS says business hasn't been this good since 1998. But wasn't most of those tickets sold before April 2nd? And no matter where the Blue Jays go on the road, you see hundreds (if not thousands of fans) Surely they made these plans to watch Toronto in SF, SD and Tampa while proudly showing off their Blue Jays uniform tops as if to say, "hey! look at me I'm from Toronto (or Canada) home of MLBs # 1 team!........we thought
  5. Is it really necessary to aquire another SP with us probably being sellers in four weeks instead of buyers and Morrow coming back anytime now?
  6. I wish we were gonna be buyers. Because otherwise they will bring this same dumb team back in 2014 pretending that well, We goofed in April, but we'll get them next year. Except this past winter, the owners only tried to build a team that may catch a wild card spot but realized "NOW we need for ONE GREAT season in 2013 so that we can glorify the fans and keep them happy for 10 years and get them to open their wallets to pay for more TV packages now that "If you want to see the Blue Jays" you will have to pay for Sportsnet One. It backed fired on them. We may sneak into a "losers card", but only to get beat in the first round. Our starting pitching is not good enough to win a short series play off.
  7. This thread looks like a carbon copy of another thread. The man(Mike) is obviously stupied, when someone says, the Jays should always be nice to their super-stars, today Bauistisa and Cabreaa, and about five years ago Vernon Wells. Wells was never the Mickey Mantle of Toronto, and neither is Melkey. In fact Davis would be my first pick for left field, not Melkey, he drinks too much milk. We need tough guys on this team, not a bunch of milk drinkers.
  8. Brian McCann, I liked the looks of this guy before I heard the Braves have another good young catcher and before I realized that the Blue Jays are in dire need for a new catcher. I like what he is made of, I'd be very happy with this guy for at least three years. I've seen sissy minded catchers in my day and don't want them on my team.
  9. Sorry Canadians, I FORGOT tomorrow is the big holiday here in Canada. You Canadians are too patriotic! Any old how, ya-all have a wonderful holiday!
  10. I told you before, there are no intelligent sports fans who would care to talk to this PHONY CLOWN who over and over again insults Blue Jays fans as if we are imbeciles. Hence only stupid callers who hope to have a epitat on their graves that said, "I was once heard on the radio" BTW whats all this big deal about July 1? Are we forgetting, Independence Day falls on July 4th!
  11. "This board as well?" You mean there are other sites that allow you in? Moreover May 2013 was a long time ago. Today we had the bases loaded in the 6th NO OUT, in a one run game, and couldn't score! That is a lowlife, doggone, low down dirty rotton stanking shame. For some reason I forgot what I was going to say.
  12. I was listening to Mike Wilner after are loss to Boston and was shocked that the likes of JPA is leading catchers in Home Runs!? This is shocking! Why are good hitting catchers so hard to find THESE DAYS!? That wasn't always the problem. Aren't there any Elston Howards or Yogi Berras on the horizon? The Yankees were once so good in the 1950's and 60's they had both at the same time Yogi and Elston. One game one of the two played left field, the next game they switched. And this was before FREE AGANCY! Then along came Thurman Munson as the Yankees all-star catcher in the 70's. Where have all the good catchers gone, gone to graveyards everyone, when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn...............
  13. With his money, age, and hot women in the world, the man has better things to do during his young and beautiful, romantic summers. He'll be back once he gets married. Many men have made that mistake before.
  14. More thrilling news would be"The Blue Jays just signed 60 year old Johnny Bench!" I'm. sure he at 60 could do better then what we have now. We can re-learn him to hit at Buffalo, just ask Anthony Gose.
  15. Lawrie not far from returning, the last thing we Blue Jays fans need to hear after just losing 2 of 3 to Tampa, then 3 of 4 to Boston, and Mike Wilner trys to put a positive spin on this?
  16. Mike putting a PHONY POSITIVE BLUE JAYS spin on everything not is only an insult to any man with an IQ above 79, but it makes for bad sports talk. No intelligent sports fans will call into this show, so we get stupid callers only, now at the 81 game mark, no more listening to Mike after the game for me. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! I may check it out once in September to see if any changes have been made, but to make this show great, a different host IS A MUST! This show could be a great show or a stanker, it depends on if the host has the brains to know what makes a good baseball talk show. There is hope that Rogers may promote this guy to two more innings of play by play next year, hopefully Mike will then think that he is so big that he can quit "Talking up Blue Jays".
  17. Thank you Twisted, I thought it was kool having such a hot woman on this site, so now your days of favoritism are over.
  18. Thank you King (by the way that was my beloved dogs name) Wow! Imagine someone wanting to trade for me!
  19. Twisted, you start off with "I know there's an off-topic forum" did you mean "this is an off topic forum?" If my grammer would have been that bad, they'd want to lynch me. See if your a beautiful woman on this planet what you can get away with. So how about them Jays you ask, they can't go into the late innings vs. Boston with a by far superior bull pen, and they let them Bostonians beat the crap out of them. I'd say third in the AL East. The Blue Jay players are too mentally inferior to Boston. Maby they could get lucky and win a wild card spot, but why, just to get kicked in the head again by Boston in October?
  20. nun of the above. We need a starting pitcher with real numbers, nun = nothing. Show me some real good starting pitchers.
  21. Googie doogie, any fool can critize, condemn and complain, but it makes for bad commentary. Buck is at his best when he calls a Blue Jay Home Run! Otherwise I'd prefer to hear a real broadcaster. About three weeks ago some humble broadcaster did three games, I thought he was great but I never got his name, the same thing a year ago, does anyone know who he was?
  22. Chappy, you look so much like Paul Beeston, you know most men can whip a skunk in a fight, but sometimes it just ain't worth it.
  23. Now those are STATS worth looking at. You could bring Mark Wilner to tears. But that has been the Blue Jays goal the past 20 years at least, to play and fool Canada fans into thinking they are good. So good they didn't finish in last place. Which in hockey is a reward to the playoffs. Some Canadians just don't get it, in baseball you have to be good to get into the playoffs.
  24. You confuse me, ask who those two players Mark Wilner said the only two players who can BAT a ball where he wants to, it would have to be Ty Cobb and Ted Williams. He said there were only two players ever who could do that but didn't say who, they must be Ty Cobb and Ted Williams. Otherwise trivia questions hurt my brain.
  25. Howdie googie, is that all you can say? This guy is overrated. The Jays problems in April were too many goose egges on the scoreboard. They got 5 runs in 27 innings in Tampa. The same in early April, Of course two weeks later are starting pitching became a second problem, we took care of that, but these nervous, dumb batters keep putting up too many goose egges on the scoreboard. Baltimore and Boston are laughing. Management better find a solution, or it will be, "WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR" AGAIN!
