At this point that might be the best idea. He's having a hard time cutting it in AAA in the rotation. Might as well stick him in the pen, see if he can use his two best pitches, see if that helps him a bit. If he works out as a solid reliever than the Jays benefit. If they can move him for something else, especially with his value being a bit higher out of the pen, if that works, then better. Anything than having a borderline guy out of options next year and not wanting to just let him go but being out of ideas. Stick him in the pen, give him his last shot there, see what can happen. Might work like it did for Cecil.
