The strategy, in theory anyway, makes sense. Bring in your closer in a tied game to give your bats a chance for a walk off win in the bottom of the 9th. Problem is CJ hasn't been close to the same guy he was prior to the ASB. I can see Gibbons wanting to give him more shots at getting back to form but other guys have been better. I think a lot of people (including Gibbons) are hoping he'd come back to form. Not yet anyway.
