  1. I don't see how so but, to each their own I guess Terminator.
  2. Unless it's Zobrist and Price (and it isn't) for Edwin we don't need the specifics. It's also AA dealing with TB which virtually guarantees a loss in trade.
  3. Wow, that's actually pretty great to see. I hope they bring him back at some point next season so I can be a part of another standing O for the man.
  4. Rasmus extension...?
  5. I doubt the Jays would be interested in Hosmer unless the plan is to move Edwin, which is even less likely. The only pieces KS has that The Jays should be interested in are Shields, Perez and Zimmer; I can't see a deal being made here at all.
  6. No the Jays want pitching.
  7. The Jays would want pitching and the Royals don't have any to spare.
  8. I'm not the biggest Nolin fan, I'd definitely be trying to sell somewhat high on him. 2 WAR is probably his ceiling and he's going to have to eat a lot of innings to get there. IMO the Mariners are clearly in compete mode and have enough starting depth that they would prefer to shore up their lousy BP than back-end innings. That being said moving some BP depth would be preferable to moving Nolin IMO as well.
  9. I'm thinking it'd be more like Janssen + Pillar for Franklin, at least if you're buying him as a starting ~1.5WAR - +2WAR guy.
  10. Neil Walker isn't going anywhere, he's a hometown boy and fan favourite. IMO you could get Cole + Polanco + Meadows but it'd cost you Edwin.
  11. Honestly, I use Excel haha. I checked out https://infogr.am/ and it was pretty cool, obviously line graphs will always be kind of boring.
  12. Great article Nik, my only criticism is the boring excel graphs but, good read.
  13. AA overpaid for Dickey, it was quite obvious at the time. As you said there was some bad luck this season and the WBC certainly didn't help either. I expect them to be better next season but without a few additions I don't view the Jays as serious playoff threat.
  14. IMO his value is spot on and I think the Jays hjave a few club friendky deals because of it. That being said it would be impossible to argue that The Jays are even league average at evaluating MLB talent. Hopefully they learned and figure out a way to get back on track this off-season.
  15. I rfeally don't think the Dickey trade crashed and burned. It's not his fault AA overpaid (he only paid him $13M per season, I have no idea why he threw assets like he was a $25M MVP-type guy -- I'd like to think d'Arnaud + Syndergaard + a couple assets like Nolin and Happ might land us Tulo right now. He pitched hurt and still managed to log +220IP despite pitching poorly and made some positive adjustments towards the end of the season. I'd go as far to say that Dickey and Buehrle were the only two positive moves Alex made last off-season.
  16. He didn't crash on the Rasmus, Morrow, Escobar, Delabar, and Lincoln trades. All were clear wins for Toronto. The Dickey and Happ trades will take years to clarify a winner. The Marlins trade was bad but that doesn't mean every trade AA has made has been bad.
  17. Cecil + Lind for Kennedy?
  18. You could say the exact same thing about Rasmus
  19. I don't think AA cares what Perkins thinks and I don't think he is afraid to pull the trigger on a deal. That proposed move won't happen because it doesn't help the Jays long term or short term it's just bad.
  20. Apparently a lot of deals are being hung up on the Tanaka situation.
  21. You guys are on crack if you think the Angels would move Trout for prospects, they'd want established MLB'ers if they were to move him at all. Furthermore that deal isn't even close.
  22. Awesome JFaS, I'm looking forward to reading it.
  23. I think they'll add a few BP pieces, I could see a couple coming from the Rule 5 draft but I don't know if they stop there especially for high leverage situations and the swingman role.
