  1. If they brought back Rajai to platoon with Pillar I'd be down but Pillar everyday is a fairly unappealing option.
  2. Even Pillar in CF is probably better than Goins at 2b.
  3. I think you could get either a top end SP or decent 2b and back end guy for Rasmus. I'd be curious to see if you could get Hill and Cahill from the Dbacks for something like Rasmus and Nolin.
  4. Ya that one Ang. Cahill is a great fit for the back of the rotation and should come relatively cheap.
  5. How I feel aswell except I think Anderson is more likely to miss significant time next season.
  6. Thinking that's poll worthy. I'd take Anderson but, IMO it'd be close.
  7. I liked your Cahill idea Ang. I'm surprised more people didn't get on board with that one.
  8. That's very true. I'm working under the assumption you can get a front of the rotation pitcher back for Colby (perhaps plus depending on the return) which is a fairly large assumption to make.
  9. I'd go 5yrs and a little less than $75M (high 60's up to $70M but we're splitting hairs) but I don't really see the incentive for Colby to sign that deal. Even if he puts up ~3.5 WAR next year he'll get that and he is giving the impression he is going for the big payday. At the end of the day I think it boils down to this question; "If they aren't going to sign Colby to an extension this off-season would you move him?" IMO it's an easy yes but, if the Jays are really going for it they may be happy with letting him walk and taking the comp pick.
  10. BJ Upton got that deal and if he outperforms his 2013 season Colby will be a significantly more valuable asset in a time where there is more money in the game.
  11. it's all hypothetical but he'd be hitting the market at 28yo coming off two monster seasons. He would get more years and dollars than the 4yr $15mAAV per contract Granderson just signed. IMO he'd be well over $100M and looking at 6-8yrs at +$20M.
  12. Do you honestly believe the Jays would give Rasmus a +$100M contract? If he improves on last season that is what Colby will get on the open market.
  13. If he has a better season he isn't going to be a Blue Jay in 2015, he's going for the payday -- all the more reason to move him.
  14. Before last season he put up 1.1WAR and 0.5 WAR, that's his floor and it isn't an unlikely scenario. He's also due for a raise if he performs and the Jays are unlikely to give it to him. Trade him now and get value back before he walks for nothing but a comp pick.
  15. Because he is streaky/unreliable, his trade value is likely to be at an all time high and there are a couple of very viable replacements in the system.
  16. Hamilton would be the solution to the MIF problem that AA can't seem to fix.
  17. Expand? Colby is quite possibly the most expendable asset with impact value that AA has.
  18. Ya, I;d want to know how the sudden scheduling conflict came about given that he's known he would be involved with the event since before the season ended. Seems like Rasmus is as good as gone.
  19. I'm sure he told the whole team to be prepared for trades, it's pretty obvious AA is allergic to the FA market and is shipping guys out in a matter of time.
  20. I'm not speculating guys I'm just connecting the dots bahahaha
  21. Rasmus and Cecil for Bailey and Billy Hamilton
  22. It isn't one or the other though. They are looking at Hutch/Drabek/Redmond and Happ as the 4/5 next season which doesn't inspire confidence.
  23. That's Japanese nationals not individuals of Japanese descent.
  24. Probably? There probably aren't enough Japanese people in Ontario to even fill the RC. British Columbia has a large Japanese population but I don't think that would factor in to a move to Toronto.
  25. Toronto doesn't have a large Japanese population. Thanks for sharing Leaffie but whenever someone asserts that Toronto does I ignore the rest of what they said. It just shows the were too lazy to fact check.
