  1. Jeremy Jeffress for Jesus Montero. cough. cough.
  2. A healthy Drabek would still be a good prospect. Doesn't really matter how he performs if he is never on the field. I expect about the same as someone like Dustin McGowan and hold out hope for a string of healthy seasons.
  3. Ya the rumour was always Shark for Sanchez AND Stroman. I wouldnt do that deal and I suspect AA balked at the asking price as well. Id also want Starlin Castro back if Im giving up multiple pieces. Something like Hutch + Sanchez + Norris + BP piece (Cecil?) for the pair is about as much as I would offer.
  4. Gose + Rogers + Norris for Franklin and Montero...
  5. There is nothing to dislike about Drabek's arm other than it's inability to stay healthy or throw strikes.
  6. And 6IP x 30 starts is 180IP. No one should expect that but if Happ is pitching well he will get ~150IP. He also has a pretty good FB, not s*** at all.
  7. Steamer and Oliver have Happ at ~2WAR if he starts for a whole season.
  8. This is all great in theory but irrelevant in reality. The Leafs don't play within a set neutral of noise or luck and they don't play in the West.
  9. Meh, if they keep playing like this the Leafs will finish Top 4 in the East. Perhaps they even win a series.
  10. It matters a lot less when you consistently get good goaltending.
  11. This doesn't have to be done in the off-season. They will be sellers if they are out of it at the deadline.
  12. I meant his most recent sample was from his age 20 season. Cherry picking small samples there. Even if you were to use his AFL stats the bump in K's was positive. His walks also aren't alarmingly high.
  13. Can't really judge the delivery yet. The K rate was disappointing.
  14. He has far more upside than Stroman but the same high leverage reliever floor.
  15. He's starting his age 21 season, what I meant and you mean. The the diminished K rate was far more concerning than his BB rate.
  16. The BB's really aren't that concerning.
  17. He's 20. As long as he continues to show improvement there is nothing to worry about with Sanchez.
  18. His walks are trending down.
  19. He took reps there last season. His tools fit best at 2B. It is hearsay but apparently he's going to shift to the infield. We'll have to wait and see to be certain though.
  20. He can hit lefties though.
  21. If you think he has talent then how would acquiring him be a waste?
  22. 3rd catcher, bench bat and occasional DH. It would allow you to move Dioner in to the lineup on his day off if you wanted to (off the bench vs lefties as a Lind replacement more than likely).
  23. Dealing Sanchez for Franklin would be a mistake IMO. I really don't think he's THAT good and Sanchez's upside is tantalizing.
  24. At the very least enough to platoon with Lind and just works to add flexibility to the bench.
  25. Gose, Happ, Cecil and Nolin for Montero and Franklin....
