  1. If they're in it may as well hang on to him and go for the comp pick. Obviously, if someone wanted to offer you something stupid (like the SF - NYM Wheeler trade) then pull the trigger.
  2. If the Cubs also added Castro I could see those names coming in. I wouldn't gut the farm to go all in unless it's for a truly elite player.
  3. Can you stop talking out of your ass?
  4. Why did they only let him throw 80 pitches if they think he is a "fully-formed" pitcher?
  5. You mean he's waste deep in tzatziki without a kebab.
  6. You shut your filthy lying mouth! As I cover my ears and sing loudly
  7. TJ has been around the block, he has talked to a lot of people and seen a lot of s***. I would want him to qualify the statement before I completely dismissed it.
  8. Board man in white season tickets next year.
  9. It's going to be Beede and Nola
  10. Hard to tell on my phone. It's that Papi?
  11. Every metric but his K rate...
  12. Hamilton is a MIFer... (I know they moved him to CF)
  13. Just because the stats don't meet your observational bias doesn't make them wrong.
  14. The plan is to let them pitch. AA has said a few times neither is on an innings cap. Additionally this would fit club policy as they have never believed in shutting down fully stretched MLBers. Just think of them as normal pitchers.
  15. The philosophy you are referencing is not applicable as it is for building up innings in prospects. No limits for players returning from injury outside of TJS. Hutch already finished his rehab and built his innings on thefall league. He won't be on a cap.
  16. If the plus was Iwakuma then sure. Id take someone a lot better than Ackley for me to move Rasmus though.
  17. IMO the best course of action would be to get the website's prospect content going full throttle. Move the daily discussion to the comments on those articles and make threads in the main forum for big topics.
  18. Why do you even bother with that guy? He's only here to make himself feel better by putting others down, can't admit to being wrong and is generally unpleasant to interact with.
  19. ERA only 9/10 did he lose a point on the dismount or something?
  20. I Want to go back and look at the names. Some good ones I'm sure. I don't think there is a person outside of the organization who knew as much about the Jays depth guys as Kirk.
  21. I'll miss our long debates over organizational depth guys. I actually never got my Kirksaw sleepers for this season, ends a 7 year tradition. You'll be missed Kirk. RIP.
  22. Sanchez is really short to the plate. You don't have to be a scout to see they've shortened his stride in an effort to be more direct to the plate and control his control (exactly the same same thing they did with Ricky). In doing so the Jays have moved Sanchez more upright and away from the traditional pitching motion -- a move that no scout would like. The results look pretty good so far and I believe the plan is to lengthen it back out as he finds the zone.
  23. Well not really Ang. IMO what likely happened was AA was led to believe payroll would go up which is why he went all in last season. Then Rogers made the deal with the NHL and the money was gone.
  24. He's consistently 96-97mph with his two-seamer. His 4-seamer has hit triple digits, it doesn't sit up there obviously. Although he does hit 96-98mph with regularity. CB is a hammer, everything has movement and plus velo. Why couldn't they have kept Sanchez AND Synder?
