    The thing is, the plays Vladdy isn't making aren't because of athleticism. He's able to make some really impressive plays, but he doesn't seem to have the ability to do it consistently. I stand by my "he could be a passable 3B for a few years" opinion.

    You have to be exposed to waivers when you are removed from the 40 man roster, I don't think there's any exception to that. You can be outrighted once you're off the 40 man, but it's the removal that triggers the waiver exposure.
