    Well, hopefully Chuckles won't be the one making that decision next year... Of all the reasons I dislike him as a manager, his quick hook is the one that bugs me the most.

    Still too many walks, but he's been considerably better as a Jay than he was as a Diamondback (I mean, still no prize, but serviceable at least.)

    I don't like the expanded playoffs. HOWEVER, this team, over a full 162 games, may very well have made the playoffs even under the old, better, system. At the very least, they would have been in the race in September still, and baseball is ridiculously impossible to predict game to game, so we can't really know. I'm glad they made it, and I'm glad they made it in with a > .500 record, it's going to be the sub .500 teams making it in every year that will piss me off. "We won nearly half our games! Playoffs baby!" is not something I would consider a victory.

    I can confirm the user is from Oz, based on IP and Email address used for sign up. I suppose they could have gone through enough effort to VPN their IP and sign up for a .com.au Email address, but that seems like a lot of work for fake internet cred...

    I'd love it if a team that CLEARLY had no business in the playoffs won the World Series for the next few years if they keep this ridiculous format. Maybe it would make them rethink the plan of the 78-84 Seattle Mariners win it all in 2021.
