  1. Imagine how it would feel to be a fan of one of the lesser sports with WAY fewer games than baseball (usually)...
  2. If you are correct, and this is so far out of my area of expertise that I couldn't begin to know if you were or not, then it's likely that Dolis' splitter works in a similar way to suppress hard contact that Rivera's cutter did. It makes sense that a late movement pitch that is hard to barrel up would be more difficult to hit hard than a straight 4 seamer, particularly if the movement is varied between pitches.
  3. Yeah, I'm as much of a Vladdie booster as anyone around here, but like... I can't get behind "he's got average speed." He's slow and fat (and I still expect him to succeed despite those things, though y'know... lose some f***in' weight dude...)
  4. I know you want to go home ump, but f*** you for that strike call.
  5. Probably getting the out at first, I guess... Suggesting that the baserunner slowed down the play overall by getting in the way. He really did. Also, that was a great catch from Villar.
  6. Oh, that was a bit of a dick move from the baserunner there...
  7. I don't think Hatch pitched poorly that inning, but less than ideal results.
  8. Can't blame the stadium for that craptacular read.
  9. 72.3 MHP exit velo for that double. Hilarious.
  10. I'd rather see Fisher here, but Shaw has been okay at the plate lately...
  11. Man, hasn't thrown a pitch in the zone yet. Villar should just never swing, he'd get better results...
  12. Dude, that was clearly a ball. Shut the f*** up and pitch better if you want better results.
  13. Wow, Buck makes a comment with which I agree. Hatch and Merryweather SHOULD be stretched out a bit...
  14. "Hated" might be a strong word. I thought the return was light, but I did like the pieces we got back (I was one of those who wanted a tertiary lottery ticket type piece. I'm 100% okay with the return with the benefit of hindsight.) Edit: after reading the quotes provided, hate does seem to be accurate.
  15. "Day game after a night game", plus I mean, Jansen is still the starting catcher...
  16. Looked solid in the field, seemed a bit over eager at the plate (understandable after a layoff that long). Didn't make great contact, and swung at pitches well out of the zone a few times. Still wound up with a hit, so good. Also, ran the bases really, really well which is the most encouraging thing for his injury recovery. Edit: Scored (kinda) standing up really easily from first on a double.
  17. 3 runs on 10 hits is gross. But hey, it's a win, so good stuff!
  18. Holy f***, game ends on a reviewed pickoff from a right handed pitcher.
  19. He actually looks out on that replay... Need another angle though.
  20. Two reviews in Buffalo, but it's also after the7th inning, unlimited reviews after the 7th.
  21. Easy 100MPH there, geez. Also, super not comfortable w/ Dolis coming into this game, I know he's been good, but man, he makes me nervous.
