    I don't think I give up Groshans and Manoah for Castillo (and "guy who might eventually be a middle reliever so really is a non-entity"). Castillo is a good target, but cost is too high for me.

    So, I just found out that SRF was born in Guam. There have been 2 MLB players born in Guam, both debuted with the Jays. We've cornered the Guam market!

    If he wasn't ludicrously tall, nobody would even mention him. His size SHOULD equal big velocity, but it simply hasn't.

    It's weird that I went from thinking "the rotation is an obvious weakness of the team" to "how are they going to fit all these guys who could be pretty decent into a 5 man rotation?" over the course of the last month.

    Since LOOGYs are no longer a thing, this really doesn't matter anymore, 'cause nobody will roster that lefty specialist... Also, 24 pitches, 10 strikes. Not a great inning from Liriano.

    Yeah, i don't buy the whole "turning the lineup over" thing. You want your best hitters getting the most ABs, that includes our 8th best hitter getting more ABs than our 9th best hitter.

    I have to say, the Pirates announcers are f***ing garbage.

    These announcers ragging on Gurriel for the umpire being a colossal tool. Good job, guys.

    It was in his glove for at least 3 seconds, and he obviously had control of it before casually dropping it during transfer. Also, even with that strikeout, Martin has a pretty swing.

    Uhh, that was a catch. What the the f***ing world was the ump thinking not calling that an out?

    Kirk really isn't the kind of player you play service time games with, that being said, the team may simply decide that it's not prudent to lose McGuire, and keep Kirk in AAA. They may also legitimately believe that he would benefit from everyday playing time that they don't want to give him at the MLB level yet.

    I'm good with the larger bases and the step-off rule (if it doesn't apply to lefties throwing to first, that should still be allowed. It always bugs me when pitchers do that spin and fake out to second thing...). I'm THRILLED with the ABS rule. The "can only try a pickoff twice" rule is dumb as all hell and will result in a truly absurd number of stolen bases, and the "no more shifting" rule can eat a bag of dicks.

    Who's umpiring? Gameday suggests that a ball that was in the opposite batters box was just called a strike against Teo... Edit: Well, Gameday has that information so I'm kinda an idiot... Also, who the f*** is Roberto Ortiz?

    Well, that camera setup was really nice, so that means they're either never going to do it again, or they're going to plaster ads all over it, or they're going to charge for it.

    Good ABs this inning (outside of Grichuk), even Teo's AB was good, stayed off some touch pitches and torched that foul when they put one in the zone for him.

    To be fair, they only have to like him a little bit more than they like Waguespack...
