  1. You're talking about trading him for any top prospect we'd be screwed anyway with that mentality
  2. It's not so much about having a fire sale as it is about selling high on Bautista and EE.
  3. He's just had Tommy John and won't be available until next year, his value is low at the moment. Plus they don't need him - Harvey, Colon, Degrom, Syndergaard, Niese. Bautista, Reyes and Navarro would all help the Mets - but they won't trade while they're injured.
  4. Bautista, Reyes, Navaro to the mets for Wheeler, Matz, Nimmo, Rosario and Molina
  5. Lohse is struggling we already have 5 struggling starters
  6. Let's just rebuild, AA tried and it didn't work. The thing that makes Billy Beane so good is he knows when to rebuild.
  7. If they're planning on winning this season, you trade prospects not everyday guys
  8. We actually have a decent looking crop of young starters at the moment with Stroman, Hutch, Norris, Sanchez, Osuna, Hoffman, Boyd but Bautista and Encarnacion will likely be gone before they develop.
  9. He has two choices, gut the farm team to get Cueto and Hammels or trade Encarnacion and Bautista
  10. Really hope AA realizes this team isn't winning anything and gets something for Bautista and Encarnacion before it's too late
  11. Gibbons should have been aware that Loney was on the bench, pulling Cecil gave Tampa a more favourable matchup and pulling Osuna after he struck out the first two also didn't make a lot of sense.
  12. I think his contract is up in 2016
  13. Okay, Hutchinson had 2.6 War. There is only so much affect a 60 inning pitcher has.
  14. Stroman only pitched a 130 innings and he had 3.3 war. It's not unreasonable for Norris or Sanchez to put up similar numbers - Buerhle was 3.5
  15. 60 innings will never be worth 180-200. Sanchez pitched 33 pretty dominant innings last year and might be a front of the rotation starter
  16. Sanchez is probably just as good a closer as Chapman, and he already plays for us.
  17. Anyone seen Hollon pitch? Only 2 hits over 12 innings so far
  18. Considering he missed pretty much all of 2011 his 2012 numbers were very good a WAR of 3.5
  19. Shields would have made more sense. But why we didn't just stop after the Marlins trade and assess the team before making a Dickey type trade was ridiculous.
  20. I'll take EE over Bautista. Bautista probably brings more trade value and Encarnacion is the better hitter at this point, without Bautista the Jays still have a good offence. If the Jays were offered Profar and a couple other good prospects, I'd make the trade and throw in one of our relievers.
  21. I wish I knew what the Rangers were offering, Profar seems like the only option.
  22. I'd take Profar, Alfaro and Payano. Profar has to be in the deal
  23. It's stupid to let him leave for nothing, this is the only year he's ever sucked.
  24. Can't imagine Johnson getting anything better
  25. J.P isn't a top ten catcher but the Jays offence is
