    I think with Romero it was a lot of deception and the hitters started figuring him out. His stuff was never ++ so i don't really know where that early success came from.

    Here is the thing we have 8 pitchers that can be starters in this league i would bet you we use at least 7 of them because injuries happen no Rotation stays away from injuries all season this sounds like it could be a fact. I am just happy for the depth. Start Sanchez and if he struggles you got lots to fall back on. He has pitched great and this will be his last shot i am guessing at a rotation spot. No harm in trying. This coming from a Floyd fanboy.

    If Estrada feels good they won't have him start on the DL they may push him back due to the couple early days off.

    I am in the same boat but i am a huge Floyd fan and think he is going to have a good year.

    Hard to say for the second game i would assume Stroman would go down a day early and maybe some of their regulars. I know is a big deal for montreal but I would want a well rested team that does not have to travel that night before the opener. Maybe its not as big of deal as i am making it out to be.

    Me either the only thing that gives me peace is that we will at least have 2 pitchers that can come up and start who are better then the Redmonds, Wangs, Rogers, Laffeys, Mills and so on that we relied on for depth in the past. If someone goes down we won't have a complete dud coming up.

    I am not saying he is hamstrung he is going to have a good team here for a couple years. I am just saying that when he lets Bautista (for sure) and likely EE walk which a lot think is probably the right move he is going to take a lot of abuse, just like when Price walked because the AA ass sniffers know that the lord and savior would never let that happen on his watch. I am one of the few that think AA is severely overrated and i was never a fan of him. He had control for 6 years with the team (started with a 3 year plan) went all in 2 twice selling off a lot of the farm and made the playoffs a whopping 1 time and everyone was lining up to suck him off after it. People tend to forget there was a lot of people wanting him gone before the start of last season. Now the guy could do no wrong. Funny how things work out.

    He also left him with a team that only a couple teams can afford (dodgers, Yanks). He can keep that group of players together in the lineup and hope to find cheap pitching like this year. Or He can sell off on some of the players that are going to cost him a small fortune. Shapiro has tough decisions to make and its easy say Alex set this team up so well when he is not the one who has to deal with it.
