Haven't listened much to the post game since the Scott Ferguson days! Seemed like it was just the same 4 callers phoning up complaining about the 2 same subjects...having Wilner on there also contributed to the final deciding factor.
Surprising to say the least that I was blocked by Wilner on twitter and I have never even communicated with him.
Sad to see how far The Fan 590 has fallen but richly deserved.
Quite sure regardless of race that this would've have been done anyways. I suspect if people want to look for certain things they can find something that will match their preconceptions.
It was used yrs before it represented a gay person. It wasn't an issue using it throughout the 60s then the 70s came and .....well, you know the rest of the story.
Probably from his slow run to first base while admiring his singles off the top of the wall? That he can control but never...as for his fielding, well, I suspect he's just a lousy fielder.
But nothing on the NFL Eagles who played on this same turf? Could it be the heat from summer that makes the turf emit these toxins while the Eagles play in cooler/cold temperatures?
Regarding McGriff....not sure if his short tenure here warrants his name up on the Level Of Excellance. BUT his "real" career start was with Toronto and he did get elected into the Hall of Fame. I think a player who put in approx 5 yrs with the Jays like McGriff and gets into the HoF should be honoured accordingly up on the LoE.
Agree on Henke and heres another player that should be nominated but Im sure he wont end up on the Level of Excellance but he should get some consideration...Duane Ward.
Im going with Mike Hargrave....aka the Human Rain Delay! I forget who the announcer was but he jokingly said they're going to run commercials between pitches when Hargrave was at bat.
Dont know about anyone else but I enjoy these spring training games maybe more than some regular season games. Watching the prospects for the first time is probably the primary reason
along with the sense that the winter is almost over.
I wonder if a pitcher who relies on various speeds of pitches would benefit from this time clock also?
The tighter the time frame between of pitches it would amplify the difference in speed.
