  1. Nothing like a dose of the Yankees to get Manoah out of his funk.
  2. Only 85 pitches. Bottom of the order up. I don't get it.
  3. It's early but Vlad is on pace for 32 extra base hits. I guess a batting title would be nice but where is the power?
  4. Those sound like great seats. I would be interested in a couple games as well.
  5. Those numbers are misleading though because like you said, most teams are using DH as a half day off for regular players who typically play in the field. If those are the numbers of a full-time exclusive DH who's clogging up the spot and not allowing others to get off their feet, that's pretty ugly. I dunno, it's not how I would construct my team, anyway.
  6. Vlad has more SB than Bo.
  7. I know he was good defensively last year. That's kind of my point. He better be decent back there because it's currently where a good amount of his value lives. I'm just saying IF he's trending to more of a DH this soon, I don't think my attitude would be "no sweat". A 120-130 wRC+ is really good when combined with plus defense but if at age 24 it's literally all he's bringing to the table other than pancakes, I'd like it to be more in the 150 range.
  8. Teo will be missed. Obviously all things considered, Varsho > Teo, but it would kinda be nice if we could just stash Teo in the dh role on this team.
  9. If Kirk is too big of a liability to hunch his fat ass down behind home plate at age 24, I think that's a bit of a problem. Less than ideal, we'll say. Couple that with his flat tires on the basepaths and his bat better be REALLY good.
  10. Tell me why again they don't have robo umps yet?
  11. LOL Kirk. How do you not score on that with two out?
  12. Interesting they have Varsho 4 and Belt 6 and not the other way around. Maybe they don't want Varsho stuck behind the pace car on the bases?
  13. I can finally watch a game today and ewww look at that lineup. I don't even know if I'm gonna bother any more.
  14. Looks like another rough day for Big Nate.
  15. The cutoff seems to be roughly 30 fWAR. Bautista 36.2 Fernandez 35.1 Delgado 34.7 After that you've got Barfield at 29.6 and then Vernon at 24.8 On the pitching side it's Halladay at 48.6, Stieb at 43.6 and a huge drop-off to Key and Clancy at 28. The exception was obviously Alomar who didn't have the longevity but was the best player on our WS teams. Oh, and let's not forget Carter who comes in at #37 on the all-time Blue Jays list (position players) with a grand total of 7.4 fWAR.
  16. I think the Jays have done a really good job of not oversaturating the LoE. After Bautista, I don't think I'd add anyone. Sorry Edwin. One day we'll see Vlad up there.
  17. Just had a quick peek at Moseby's fangraphs page. He had a 6.9 fWAR at age 24 in '84! Never would have guessed he had a season that high.
  18. If Lamp didn't make a motion to pull the lamp cord for "lights out" after a save, he should have.
  19. Yeah, this is the big difference for me. As illustrated earlier it's more or less a wash if we're only looking at 2023, but even this year, our depth is far better with option A.
  20. I wonder if those 99 wins could be in jeopardy this year. That young core is ridiculous though.
  21. They should just have their salary on the back of their jerseys. George Springer, # 24.166666
  22. Not a Gretzky or Lemieux fan?
