  1. You'd think so. This is not just pitching bad, it's like throwing someone out there who's never pitched professionally.
  2. A split of these four games would be doing well. I fear they lose 3 out of 4
  3. Pretty much. But this interleague thing goes back many years.
  4. This is the time of year the Blue Jays lose all the games and all the other AL East teams win all the games. Oh joy.
  5. I wouldn't trade him, too young and so much talent. Like you I'd be afraid of some other team fixing him and he becomes a star for years. Still this team's player development track record is not good. I'm beginning to see why Milwaukee pulled the trigger.
  6. Yeah I had no idea Seager was doing that well, in that park no less.
  7. Can't see Rogers letting AA trade Lawrie, even if he wanted to.
  8. Arencibia actually had a good approach for his ABs today. Two opposite field hits, a walk (!!!!!!!!!!!!), he wasn't being the pully hacker like he usually is. We need to see more of this Arencibia.
  9. Lind would have been out by a kilometre. Anyway can't risk it in the ninth, his run meant nothing at that point. Lawrie is taking 'douche' to epic proportions.
  10. The last time Arencibia struck out? Today. Three times. K/BB ratio approaching 30:1
  11. I've never really been on the Morrow train. Just something about him seems like he's always going to be too Jekyll and Hyde to be one of the top pitchers in the league.
  12. It's just amazing how every Rays series is automatic. I just assume they'll lose the series and move on to the next one.
  13. This. People are talking about Gomes, but from what I can see, and saw last year, he's essentially another Arencibia.
  14. People here are actually hoping the Yankees win games?
  15. AA did say that he was a "sucker" for athletes. It doesn't seem to matter much whether they can play baseball or not.
  16. I say they bring up another reliever. Just for the lolz
  17. Yeah. Lawrie is the big one for me. He looks like a totally different hitter now. When he came up he could drive the ball, and you couldn't get a fastball by him. Now it seems he's fighting pitches off all the time. Even fastballs in hitter counts he's fouling off or swinging through. I said in the other thread it seems he's regressed as a hitter, slowly, ever since he came up. I dunno. The Jays inability to draft & develop good players is really hurting them.
  18. That's been shown to be more true for hitters. Pitchers, imo, are much more variable. Some peak at like 23, others are still good into late 30s. Even if it were true there are so many exceptions that you can only take it on a case by case basis.
  19. Lawrie is a terrible hitter. It seems he's regressed ever since his debut.
