  1. Uh...they've won their last three series in Boston. Two of them were sweeps. Where do people even come up with this stuff?
  2. Only so much you can do against Allen Webster I guess.
  3. Such as Fenway. Red Sox usually have a big home/road split for their hitters.
  4. Here's the Jays batting splits: http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/split.cgi?t=b&team=TOR&year=2013 By clicking on each split you can see what the individual players are doing
  5. They have a negative run differential so "should" be under .500. But they're won a s*** ton of one run games. That and their 8-1 record against the Jays is keeping them afloat.
  6. Could be anyone yet.
  7. -no air movement inside the dome -air conditioning up too high creating too much air movement
  8. Fausto Carmona vs R.A. Dickey. Looks like a pretty even matchup, unforunately. Hope Reyes can add a little spark to the lineup. God I hate the trop
  9. He filled in all right. He might be back at a later time.
  10. The Jays are playing in Tampa. Does anyone expect anything different?
  11. I have no idea, but it drives me completely batty. I mean, there's no way you should go like 18 series in a place without winning some. There's so much randomness in baseball that you should win sometimes almost by accident. The Jays don't have nearly this trouble anywhere else. Just their last series at home, they lost 3 of 4 to Kansas City. So within the last month, the Royals have won more series in Tropicana than the Jays have since April 2007. And Toronto plays there three series a year.
  12. At least Lawrie for Headley would make the team better, even if it obviously has no hope in hell of happening. But callers are seriously advocating the other two points??
  13. YES. I started noticing that last year. In the past you wouldn't see too many people wearing Jays gear at the games. Maybe like half the people would wear a hat, and rarely someone would wear a shirt or jersey or whatever. But with the new gear, people love clothing themselves in that. Seems like everyone at the games is wearing a hat and/or Jays t-shirt or jersey or what have you.
  14. I've been really impressed by Wang these last couple starts. He looks pretty legit.
  15. Attendance has been trending upward the last few years. Even with the bad start this year, they were pulling some decent crowds. Now that summer is finally here, school is out, Jays streaking, it should be solid attendance right through Labour Day. And if the Jays are still in a playoff race, watch out.
