  1. First time all year we get away from divisional play and AL East teams go 0-5.
  2. If only it wasn't for that sprinkler....
  3. I'm with you on Thole. He's become probably my least favourite Blue Jay ever. Hideously boring.
  4. Well here's the thing: Pillar just isn't good.
  5. I'd have to agree. This division has parity but it's likely that at least one team forges ahead and gets at least into the low 90s. 86 wins might get second in the division though, and it might put you in the wildcard race close to the end.
  6. Someday the Jays will actually hit Miguel Gonzalez. Someday....
  7. The Yankees hitting has been quite a bit better than I expected.
  8. That's certainly one way to go. If it was up to me I'd just say that pitchers don't really win and lose games, teams do, and as such they're a team stat, and just leave it at that.
  9. And it just went on and on, too. I think pitchers win-loss record is the dumbest thing invented. I think most people see that now but then occasionally you see this kind of thing still pop up.
  10. That's not really a baseball thing as much as it's a bluejaysmessageboard.com thing.
  11. Aaron Sanchez is intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to his newsletter.
  12. I certainly have never seen anything like this. This would be terrible pitching even in the steroid era. It's such a shame because the Jays lead MLB in runs scored; they're like 20 runs ahead of #2.
  13. Actually serious question: if Sanchez blows up today, is he out of the rotation? Randy Wolfe time or something?
  14. It's definitely slower than the old stuff. It seems to play a lot more like real grass.
  15. Should I go ahead and assume Orioles Hangout is whining about Bautista?
  16. What's worse, Lawrie's performance or Charlie Sheen walking the bases loaded on 12 straight balls?
  17. That's pretty much what he was doing in spring training. Weaver is arm angle, movement, and smoke & mirrors at this point.
  18. Beatles songs cost an arm and a leg to get the rights to use. Honestly I'm not sure why there needs to be a slogan, and a new one every year.
  19. People seem to have embraced 'we the north' but it always sounded weird to me, like there's a word or two missing. We the north...what? We are the north? Slogans aren't necessarily supposed to be grammatical but it sounds truncated.
