  1. No Jim I was actually pretty spot on. Here's my first post on the matter. This is pretty much exactly what happened. Evidence showed Bauer didn't do it and he skated on criminal charges but I said he could still face a lengthy suspension. But Manfred has no balls and let's outside influences affect his decisions. No other way to spin 20 games for those charge and 320 games as well a full season of admin leave for those not even charged with anything. I was 100% right about everything. Nice try Jim, but if you take a shot at the Sheriff you better not miss! If you have any class at all you'll apologize for saying I was wrong.
  2. I used to like him. I'm pretty indifferent on him now.
  3. Not charging Bauer with anything is not "pretty damning" lol. If anything, it's absolving. Maybe it's not 100% exoneration so it's not a complete win for Bauer but it definitely isn't damning.
  4. Is Kirk nursing an injury or something? He's only started 2 of the last 6 games.
  5. Yeah he's sat quite a few times the past week.
  6. Why are Dyson and Bauer getting lengthy suspensions with no charges but Russell, Ozuna and others are getting 20-40 games?
  7. Really? I can't find anything on that.
  8. TL on the same side as Sheryl Ring. Why am I not surprised.
  9. Sheryl is having a field day on Twitter right now. This might be the greatest day of her life. In the words of the great Tom Cheek, "Touch 'em all, Sheryl! You'll never hit a bigger home run in your life!"
  10. We might want to listen to King more often you guys! He knows his stuff!
  11. Capra makes sense because we have a ton of lefty bench bats. With a righty in the bench we can play the matchups better when these guys are forced into action. Looking at Capra he’s mildly interesting but I have no clue on his defense.
  12. King was right. Stick a fork in Bauer he’s done and he ain’t coming back.
  13. I wonder if this is another case of politics influencing Mandred’s decision. If he goes light ESPN plus all the Sheryl Ring’s and Keith Law’s will lose their marbles on him. So he goes heavy handed and just lets Bauer appeal. If Bauer wins Manfred still looks tough so it’s probably a smart move for Manfred personally.
  14. Well you're a robo ump extremist which is great but I bet the majority of fans, many of whom are casuals, are more or less ok with pitches like that being called balls. A majority of fans might not only accept that but are actually very in favor of pitches like that being called a ball. Also, I think you might be surprised on how often you could end up disagreeing with robo umps. I'm 100% in favor of them but even robo umps make some interesting calls once in a while.
  15. What? I'm talking about if the catcher sets up inside and the ball is low and away so he has to stab at it. Even if the pitch in that situation catches the corner, the ump will call it a ball but the Ump Scorecard will dock the ump for that call. I'd say most people are willing to accept the ump calling it a ball. Keep in mind this was said within the context of 43211234 saying there needs to be more nuance to Ump Scorecard's methodology. There's 4 misses on there where the ball BARELY touched the zone. I'm not really bothered by those calls so the ump's performance was probably better than the raw grades show.
  16. Do any of you fine gentleman subscribe to MiLB.tv? If so would you be willing to share your account for some venmo $$$?
  17. One thing that this doesn't account for is a borderline strike that's called a ball because the pitcher doesn't hit his spot. Most agree that the ump is probably right to call it a ball when the catcher has to scramble to receive the pitch, even if the ball does technically touch the strike zone.
  18. What the hell is going on with Franmil Reyes, dear god. In a redraft I'd drop his ass but I have him in a dynasty.
