    We have a 5'4'' 310 pound Mexican catcher who has red hair. That alone is enough to make him a fan favorite. Throw in the fact that he's the best catcher in baseball at age 23 and you'd think this board would want to put his name on the Level of Excellence already. But no, all you armchair GMs think he's too fat so we should trade him in favor of keeping the guy who gets hurt every 2 weeks and a prospect who is basically the same age and has 1 home run in AAA this year.

    It might sound crazy but Alejandro Kirk might be our best player lol. Better than Vlad or Bo even.

    Anyone suggesting we trade Kirk is risking being put on The Sheriff's shitlist. He's criminally underrated on this board simply because he's fat. Just look at the facts. He's a year older than Moreno and is mashing MLB pitching and is elite defensively. He barely doesn't qualify but if he did he'd be tied with Pete Alonso for 16th in wRC+ at 152. The only knock on him is his base running but it's made up for by the fact that we get the enjoyment of Vlad constantly ribbing him for not making it to 2nd on his wall balls. And who cares about him being fat, we've got him through his age 28 season so he'll be fine.

    Exactly. If he didn't have the build and metabolism of a prepubescent 12 year old boy we could be looking at the greatest baseball talent of all-time.

    We might have just witnessed history here folks. Rocket Raimel is 6'3.5'' and 118 pounds. That home run was 441 feet. So by my count that is 3.73 feet traveled per pound that the hitter weighs. Let's call this stat HR Distance/Hitter Weight (HRD/HW). For comparison's sake, let's say Kirk hit a home run 441 feet. Kirk checks in at 5'4'' and 310 pounds. His HRD/HW for the same home run would only be 1.4. In order for Kirk to get an HRD/HW of 3.73, Kirk would have to hit a ball 1,156.3 feet which is impossible. In other words, Rocket Raimel might have hit the most impressive home run of our lifetimes. He's THAT good. The breakout is definitely coming.

    I wasn't posting a lot in here last night but did anyone catch Tabler's dig at the Royals bullpen when he said that their relievers couldn't even get the ball over the plate in warm ups? lmao

    "Now back when I played what you'd do is you'd grab a newspaper on the morning of gameday and read the weather section. But I never really trusted that as a player. So what'd I'd do is lick my finger and point it in the air. And then you can really get a feel for where the wind is blowing. If it's blowing out I might try to go for a flyball. If it's blowing in then I'd go for a line drive. But another way to do is to just grab a handful of grass and throw it in the air. That would give me a lot of information as a hitter before I stepped into the box. A lot of hitters I knew did this."
