Was at the Phillies Complex today and was able to see Pirdhino pitch an inning. He was hit pretty hard, but have to remember that he's only 17 and hasn't pitched much lately. It was still encouraging to see him sit around 93 with a great slider and good control. He reminds me a lot of Osuna when I first saw him down here. ..same body type and similar assortment of pitches. I also saw Danner strike out and fly out and Hiraldo ground out in his only at bat.

Hello from sunny Dunedin. I have single tickets for Sat, May 5 and Sunday May 6 between the dugout and Home plate in the lower level available. A friend had to go back to Calgary and asked if I could get rid of them for him. He wants $30 a piece for them ($75) face value. If anyone is down in this area and is interested, please inbox me. I will be at the game Friday evening.

Spoke to him briefly at last night's game....he said 2 weeks. I'm leaving May 6, hope I get to see him pitch. If any one ( Hurl) is down here for the Jays/Rays series, inbox me. I have a cheap ticket for the May 7th game behind home plate that I won't be using.

I can see Warmoth and Vicuna changing teams. I've watched Warmoth for 3 weeks now and he looks over-matched. Last night you could see the frustration setting in after another ugly strike-out. Riley Adams on the other hand looks like he belongs...not great results so far but hits the ball hard most at bats.

I was only there for 2 at bats....grounder to the shortstop and a line drive single. He looks in great shape tho...wish him well. Off to the Dunedin game now.

Listened to Pedro Martinez on MLB TV last night and he said that this would be a perfect opportunity to bring his godson Vladdy up for a possible 2 week stint to see how he fares with major league pitching. I agree.

That will be me. I didn't get back in time from the casino to change my lineup, so down 3 players...C. Davis and Buxton not in lineup and Cano postponed. Also lost some at Hard Rock in Tampa...bad 2 days for me.

Good game in Dunedin tonight. Patrick Murphy with a decent outing...fastball sitting at 94/95 all night but had control problems in the 3rd and 4th. Palacios saved him with a great running catch of a ball in the gap. He also showed off his arm on a fly ball to deep right ..the runner on 2nd started to take off and Palacios threw a pea to the 3rd baseman..good thing he went back to second ,would have been out by 10 ft. Riley Adams continues to impress..blasted a line drive HR to dead center against the wind. Jays win on a Sat night at home means free movie tickets...gotta love Minor League ball.

Not much to report from Clearwater last night. Saucedo gave up 3 solo bombs in the second or third inning. Was hoping that Pearson might have had the start but he isn't even scheduled for the next 2 games at home...not sure what is going on. Certainly enjoyed my 25 cent dogs...had 4.....made the game bearable.No limit either...Kobayashi would break the bank.

Yep and they're actually pretty good. They bring in a few BBQ's and cook them near the concessions. As you can imagine, the lineups are long but it moves quickly.They're small but 4 for a buck usually does it for me....plus dollar beverages, including beer.

Great night for the affiliates...lots of positives in AA and Lansing. Was at the A ball game in Clearwater tonight...not much to see on this Dunedin Jays team outside of Adams, Warmoth and Pearson. Zeuch actually looked really good outside of the 2 bombs he gave up. Off speed stuff was electric but fastball in the 92-94 range was pretty flat. Warmoth hit the ball hard..he has a really quick bat...lined a single on the first pitch he saw and also a loud out his third at bat which looked like it was in the gap but the CF made a great play on it. Riley hit an opposite field double off the wall his first time up. Back again tomorrow for the 25 cent dogs and half price drinks...gotta love minor league ball.

Thanks. Retirement has been great for me...baseball, the beach,tennis golf. Now if I can only find a good woman who realizes those things are important to me.

Small world. I met Charlie about 5 years ago and he mentioned that he coached hockey in Toronto. I see him once a year when I'm at the complex and he always has time to chat...great guy.
