I wanna add high school catcher Chris Okey to my list. Really nice prospect. Super athletic. Love the bat speed and approach. Arguably the second best defensive catcher in the class. I think he'll move fast with his bat too.

If we have enough bonus money left for one player (let's say 1.2mm or more) who would you guys want to sign? Or would you split it and get 2 guys for 600-700k each. Considering Sanberg went for 775k maybe we can get Tellez and Martinez for 600k each.

I think Collins might be signable for a reasonable price, but Boldt is probably going to school unless he gets first round money. My favourite bat is Longhi or Tellez, but Woodman is my favourite bat left that can play a useful position.

I'm not sure what Hollon's value overall is, but he has a commitment to Kentucky so I figure he's at least slot as well. The picks from the 3rd round through the 10th are worth $2,308,600 in total ($2,424,030 if you take the 5% overage) For each of the guys I tried to find comparables from last years draft just see what we might be able to sign them for. That' what I based most of the bonus figures on. Sanberg is a premium talent and a legit top 100 guy and he only signed for 775k? Hopefully that makes it easier to sign a big name that falls past the 10th later, a guy like Jeremy Martinez, Rowdy Tellez, or Nick Longhi.

Minus the 1mm+ bonus. I hope we svae some money from these injured guys and senior signs to take a flier on a guy like Jeremy Martinez or Nick Longhi after the 10th round and try to sign them. Based on my calculations there's approximately 1.8mm in bonus money allocated from the 4th to 10th round (+5% overage). If we save 500-800k that would be huge in getting a "name" guy later.

Kendall Graveman 6'02" 190lbs DOB: 12/21/90 Graveman has capably moved to the front of the Mississippi State rotation to fill the void left by the departure of Chris Stratton, a 2012 first-round selection. Graveman was a 36th-round pick himself a year ago, but returned to school for his senior year. He uses a sinker-changeup combination to produce plenty of groundouts. Graveman's fastball sits in the upper-80s with heavy sinking action and his changeup is a solid offering. Graveman throws a curveball as well, but it is a below-average pitch. Graveman has good command and has proven to be durable in college, which should make him a solid senior sign.

KENDAL GRAVEMAN, rhp, Mississippi State University With 62 college seniors drafted in the first 10 rounds last year under the revised rules of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, Graveman is a logical candidate to be scooped up in the top 5-8 rounds this year if form holds. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound righthander does not have overpowering stuff, but has enjoyed a solid senior season for the Bulldogs, going 5-3, 2.06 with 15 walks and 44 strikeouts in 66 innings. He has been a ground-ball machine with the excellent sinking action he generates on his 88-92 mph fastball, and beat Louisiana State and Arkansas, two of the nation’s top college teams this spring, with 18 and 17 ground-ball outs, respectively. Graveman has an acute sense of working to his strengths and is not afraid to pitch to contact, and excels by throwing consistent strikes with his sinker, change and slider. He also helps his own cause by being an excellent fielding pitcher.

CONNER GREENE, rhp, Santa Monica HS While he can run his fastball up into the low-90s right now, the interest in Greene is more based on his long term projection rather than his present stuff. He has a quick, clean arm action and a lanky frame with room to fill, and he creates a good downhill plane to his pitches. His curveball has good 12-to-6 shape and above average present spin rate in the mid-70s, though he lacks the present feel to avoid making occasional mistakes with hanging it over the plate. He's also working on a splitter as a change of pace pitch, though that too is still a work in progress. He's the kind of projection arm who could take off under the tutelage of the right player development system.
