  1. Nice pick by Cubs. I mentioned this guy yesterday. Uber athlete.
  2. Kent Emmanuel to Houston
  3. Are we creating a new thread or can we just stay in this one? I prefer the latter.
  4. I agree on both accounts.
  5. Longhi has a really good chance to hit according to his reports. PG said he's like a right handed Dwight Smith without the defence. Baseball America was raving about how underrated Rowdy Tellez was. I was never that high on him, as he always seemed like a poor man's Joey Gallo with major contact issues. But they claim he's a better hitter than people think, and has the best usable lefty power in the class. In college Ryon Healy from Oregon is a really good hitter. Got Evan Longoria comps pre-college. He's not that good, but he has a good combination of hitting ability and power.
  6. I like Brentz and Quantril a lot but they apparently want a lot of money to sign. Denney probably wants 1st round money too.
  7. Thomas Milone, OF, 6-0 185, L/L, Masuk HS (CT) Myles Smith, RHP, 6'2 175, Lee Jeremy Martinez, C, 5'11 200, R/R, Mater Dei HS (CA) Rowdy Tellez, 1B, 6'4 225, L/L, Elk Grove HS (CA)
  8. Today should be pretty boring after the third round again if the Jays draft college seniors and non-prospects with their picks through the 4th and 10th rounds like they did last year to create bonus space. Having said that I put together my draft board for pick 83 in the 3rd. Tyler O'Neill, C/SS, 6-0 200, R/R, Garibaldi HS (BC) Chandler Eden, RHP, 6-2 165, Yuba City HS (CA) J.B. Woodman, OF, 6-2 190, L/R, Edgewater HS (FL) Nick Longhi, 1B, 6-2 208, R/L, Venice HS (FL)

  10. Google Hangout with BA discussing the first round. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/draft-talk-google-hangout/ Just talked about the Jays. You can re-watch it. Liked Bickford. Didn't like Hollon. Think he's a reliever. Convinced he might have an advanced deal to have moved up to 47.
  11. I want one of the Canucks. Also like I mentioned, I think we can draft Martarano later and sign him to a multi-sport deal like Alford. Sign him for cheaper and let him play football in the fall.
  12. Thanks. Keith Law said, Jones has told teams there is no way he's signing, that he's going to school. I wonder if we'll pull an Alford this year with a guy like Joey Martarano. Sign him and let him play football too.
  13. I think we have a good bargaining position. If we don't sign them (not saying we won't but if) we'll have 2 picks and 4mm more to spend in next years draft. Hometown hero Gareth Morgan is expected to go around where our pick would be.
  14. Yankees draft anime character. lol
  15. I hate you Tampa!
  16. Frank Thomas ordering a little Danish.
  17. If Bickford really does want 3mm as has been reported, how the heck are we going to pay Hollon too? I guess we give them a price and are willing to walk away and take the pick in next years better draft.
  18. I've seen him pitch on the vidoes at the PG website. It's definitely a slurvy breaking ball.
  19. Last summer Hollon was considered the top high school pitcher in the 2013 class. Obviously he's fallen a bit, but the stuff is pretty much the same as it was then.
  20. Wow. I can live with that.
  21. Riley Unroe please Blue Jays. Unroe!!!
  22. Not this year. We have McGriff doing it.
  23. We should have had Muni Kawasaki reading out our picks. That would have been epic!
