  1. gose on base....come on young man....time to see the jets!
  2. butterball hit 13 home runs in 266 at bats last year...he's batting over .300 this year...of all the things a guy could complain about with the jays...this one is pretty far down the list...Navarro is fine in the 5 hole.
  3. lindy rules....465 OBP...but Francisco has been done a nice job filling in...I'd rather have Francisco than an 8th bullpen arm.
  4. is it me....or do you seem a tad over critical tonight..lol
  5. I just don't understand bringing in a lefty to face melky bats and ee
  6. hutch is a strikeout pitcher....we sacrificed a whole live chicken to ensure no balls are hit to third tonight
  7. lol....I wasn't being serious...I just like to get you saber guys panties in a knot.
  8. I'm not a huge saber geek but I occasionally check out WAR stats on Baseball reference.
  9. McGowan is better than Redmond. You just have a hate on for the guy. McGowan pitched a decent game last night. If you're going to run advanced stats based of last night and say he's terrible then fine. He never struck out a lot of batters last night. It was also 6 degrees at game time and raining throughout the game. Pitchers on both teams were missing their spots. The velocity was there. There have been poor starts throughout the league in many of the cold weather games. You shouldn't write pitchers off early in a season, let alone a guy who is still building up endurance and a guy who hasn't pitched in the bigs in 6 years. I don't know who thought things would just click and be easy from the get go from McGowan. He's showing good velocity and good movement. He just isn't executing consistently enough. Some sliders come in with great movement, but too many come in flat and are hung out over the middle of the plate and crushed. More consistent execution will come in time. He battled tough conditions last night and got better as the game went on, not worse, which is a good sign for a pitcher.
  10. McGowan struggled a bit early, but settled in and threw strikes and had a very good 6th inning. He deserves his next start after last night. Morrow is the next guy who should have his job threatened. Maybe he will respond the same way.
  11. has anyone heard the status on Lind? Is he anywhere close to starting a rehab assignment? He comes off the DL pretty soon.
  12. McGowan pitched his best inning in the 6th. He should have been sent out in the 7th, and probably should not have been pulled, but don't let the bullpen off the hook when a guy comes in with a 3 run lead and a runner at second. Even if you concede the guy at second you're still up 2. That wasn't a super stressful situation to come into. The bullpen blew it.
  13. 14. What? Fans on here critical of their own...get out of here.
