    He's burning through a whole year of service time. Don't feel that bad for him.

    This isn't the only throw away. Shatkins have firmly committed to throwing away at least one more, maybe 2.

    I have no problem taking pot shots at shatkins, but the kid has a good arm. His stats in the minors at an age appropriate level were quite good. I don't know why you have a problem with this. We're actively trying to lose. He's contributing quite well in that endeavor. We throw him back in the minors next year. If he doesn't pan out, what did we lose? Prospects don't always pan out so I don't know why you would mock Shatkins for this. This is one of the moves I can get behind.

    we're losing casuals every game. In a game where you don't have any competition, I'm sure there are a few rogers executives thinking..where the f*** is Vlad.

    It's because we want to trade biggio mid summer. Biggio is the guy who should be up.

    What's so funny. I might be a bit optimistic on Borucki, mostly because of his uptick in velocity in spring training, maybe a 3 or 4 might be more realistic. We have a stable of guys who's upside is a 4 or a 5....you need a handful of guys who the upside of 2 to get 1 to pan out. Our pitching depth in the minors sucks. Pearson's the only real high upside guy. We're going to have to trade or sign guys via free agency if we have any shot of competing with Vlad on our team.

    The novelty should wear off about as fast as watching Pat Venditte. I'd much rather watch Patrick Murphy than a left handed knuckleballer.

    Nope...starting right away! Great job Shatkins! I think they are genuinely disappointed when the team wins. Just bring up Patrick Murphy.

    SRF gets a lot of swing and misses. It's easy to fall in love with his stuff. He just has zero command and might never be able to command the zone.

    Buttoyo seems like a really nice guy. The goal is to lose, so I'm glad he got his shot. I'm hoping he gets replaced in 4 years when we might be ready to compete.

    Morton was an amazing signing for the Rays. He will likely be a great signing in 2 years if he still wants to play.

    Merryewather, sopko and Thornton are the pitching equivalents of Drury, Mckinney and Gurriel. The only potential top tier pitcher we have is Pearson. Borucki looks like he could be a 2 or 3, but there's performance and injury risk with all young pitchers. The rotation looks pretty dire for 2020 if we trade stroman and are relying on Shoemaker who has some major injury concerns, Borucki, a bunch of young number 5s and whatever number 5s we sign on the cheap. Pearson likely up early next year, but that's still not a rotation that can compete for anything.

    Grichuk isn’t an every day centre fielder on a contending team. Hell do just fine in centre for the 2019 jays.

    I like Alford’s raw athleticism, but come on. How could you possibly suggest he be brought up at this point. Why would you want Alford or McKinney over biggio at this point. Biggio is killing it at AAA

    why don't we take the one f***ing guy who should be in the majors. Bring Biggio up, play him in right and let Grichuk play CF.
