    Give me a break. It was a 2 strike change up down and away. That's going to induce a grounder from most hitters in baseball It was a good pitch. His last AB he overswung at the first pitch and straightened up and pulled off. The rest of his swings were very good. Vlad does not have a serious mechanical flaw in his swing. He's overswinging and pulling off pitches, but he's conscious of that. Losing weight is going to help him.

    This playoff format is awesome. You're not going to stop watching regardless of what they do to the playoffs next year. We should really go back to the days of 4 playoff teams, when the game had integrity.

    I was 12 in 87. We had a very good Tigers team chasing us and we played them in the final games. This year we have a not so good Mariners team chasing us and there's no way we don't make the playoffs this year.

    He still has offensive upside. If he's going to play at first and be the worst defensive 1st baseman in the league, he has to have even better offensively. He's a DH the rest of the year. It's what's best for the team.
