  1. BABIP luck our wayyyyy --- Chapman pls lol
  2. Ait 1-run off two bloops not bad. Lets get it rolling.
  3. What? Why not? Teo can run (fastest behind Zimmer and Moreno) and that split the OF and went to the wall. He came off, but I'd take that aggressive running every single time with 2 outs on the board.
  4. Thank you Teooooo. Almost a triple. Aw damn, he slid off.
  5. Hell ya! STEAL GAME! Test the rookie's arm.
  6. LOL that Castellanos swing - fooled af.
  7. Lots of movement and a 96 mph fastball (was a meatball tho ) - lets go berry!
  8. Known originally as the Philadelphia Quakers in their early years, the team eventually changed names to be the Philadelphians which was commonly shortened to the Phillies. Ownership decided to freshen things up in the early 1940s and attempted to change the team moniker to Blue Jays. The team wore a Blue Jay patch on their uniforms for a few seasons, but fans kept calling them the Phillies and Blue Jay was eventually scrapped. ---
  9. Lowkey think Moreno might be a trade asset at this point - he needs a lot of regular playing time up here to develop (not only offense, but defense) And I am not sure we can afford that if we are going for a playoff run, not with the depth of Jansen/Kirk (assuming Jansen doesn't get hurt again)
  10. Bieber, 95 pitch CG, 1 ER. God damn.
  11. How much of game calling is on Moreno btw? It was weird that he kept calling slider for Mayza (leading to two wild pitches - ultimately scoring the run) even when Mayza didn't have a feel for it and was being erratic. When he started, the pen was 4.82 ERA, 4.55 FIP, -1.0 WAR over 74.2 IP He avoided the likes of Merryweather, Vasquez, Borucki, Saucedo and Richards bloating these numbers I didn't do starters 'cause Kikuchi He did start in June however and maybe the pen was already exhausted/overworked/fatigued/w.e When he didn't start (collection of Jansen/Kirk/Collins/Heineman): 3.59 ERA, 3.93 FIP, 1.6 WAR over 258 IP Over the month of June 11 - July 11 (Moreno's first game was 11th), with Kirk starting, the pen was: 4.32 ERA, 4.28 FIP, 0.9 WAR over 57 IP
  12. Guess the lab is working huh. We turned a 3rd round pick into our own Shane McC!
  13. True wasn't elite - but he had 3.59 ERA/4.34 FIP/1.1 WHIP in 42 IP with Nationals Came over: 7.27 ERA/7.55 FIP/1.85 WHIP Left to Mets: 2.70 ERA/3.40 FIP/1.28 WHIP like ??? Did he not want to be traded or hated us or something?
  14. I think we see Adrian Hernandez up here at some point this year. They will probably also turn Zulu into a reliever rather than a starter - electric stuff but control struggles the more innings he pitches.
  15. Brad Hand. Elite before coming over, elite after leaving, f***ed us so hard when he was with us - unreal.
  16. He can't be worse than Tapia at LF at the least lol Then again, he might fall off once AAA acclimates to him, have to see
  17. Angels will not do it; you can give up the entire farm and I still doubt they'll do it. Their owner has little interest in winning, he has two superstars and they fill the seats - that's all he cares about. Not to mention, any trade involving Ohtani will involve an elite pitching prospect at the minimum.
  18. Spencer Horwitz continues to smash - MILB player of the week; posting a slash of 391/440/696 in AAA. Trade in Biggio's utility to play anywhere for the ability to see and hit a fastball and you have this guy. Absolutely love his quiet af stance.
  19. I cannot seem to put this eloquently so I'll stumble through it. --- Whether Montoyo is the reason or not, I have no clue and I won't pretend that I do. But there is so much 'shrug' factor in this team and its irking. Like, they think they have it made or something. Even when it was going well in June, there have been so many baserunning mistakes, and defensive misplays (routine plays that should be made or OF throws that should go to 2nd but sail to 3rd or Teo/Lourdes not hustling to get to a ball or randomly Chap booting routine grounders/not throwing to 1B cause shift was active or Bo trying to be flashy and making errors which Vladdy prevented etc...) Wish there was a stat on "how many outs were given up by the team" - 'cause that'd be a revelation. Vlad might be having a good season (maybe not elite as last year, but its still good) but how do you cheer for a guy who just concedes outs? Twice this year, he didn't even go out of the batter's box on a ground ball. That attitude is so weird to be normalized; especially when you are struggling to win games, force the opponent to lose the games! f***ing Judge hustles every single groundball and he is more at risk of injury than Vlad. Even Kirk grits it out with his 7 percentile speed and makes a LOT of plays closer than they are - the sheer amount of infield singles are a testament to that. We don't believe in stealing bases either? Like the f***? We have one of the youngest teams yet our total SB/CS count is 47 (21st in the league, 12th in AL) & wSB is -2.7? This team is so anti-manufacture runs, its baffling - 25th in the majors in Sac Flys and how many bases loaded did we have with 0/1 outs with nothing to show for? Fundamental baseball is so lacking and when bad luck compounds on top of that (BABIP, balls going through f***ing gloves, w.e), you become the laughing stock of baseball. I shouldn't take this personally 'cause its a game but you go to Seattle - 4 game trip, have an insane amount of fans that probably will never have a chance this year to see you live again show up, cheer you on, and you lose 2-3 games on errors/misplays. I'd imagine they all wanted to burn their jerseys by the end of that. At this point, if we can manage it, I want a Mariner/Jays postseason matchup and we go back to T-mobile Park and put on a show; redeem some sort of respect, cause that's so surreal.
