  1. I voted colby and thought he'd be well behind the lead. Surprising because of how much hate he gets round here
  2. last series he was phenomenal on the base paths. The jump he had on Izzy's 2 run single was huge, and last night to be able to go 1st to 3rd on LeMahieu's error lead to our 4th run
  3. I hate when people on here shoot down Colby, from the SN article: "Rasmus ranked second among all big-league centre-fielders with 13 homers, third with 36 RBIs, fifth with a slugging percentage of .474, eighth with an OPS of .793, and eighth with a Wins Above Replacement of 1.9. For more than two-thirds of baseball Rasmus is an upgrade, yet people look at him and keep expecting more." apparently being a top 8 CF in the MLB isnt good enough for this board though
  4. There's reason for optimism. We watch sports for enjoyment, hope and excitement which is exactly what were getting right now. You look foolish to look down on us for that, but hey you're right no one is allowed to be happy about an 8 game win streak....
  5. Inflammation is unpredictable. It can vary between people, so a one time experience doesn't really shine any light on the situation.
  6. so you're admitting you're a troll?
  7. over 7 game win streak outscored opponents 41-11 and starting pitching 4 ER in 40.2 innings
  8. meh season isnt even half over, just enjoy watching good baseball for now and let the rest take care of itself
  9. 6 straight, 9 of 11. Not too freakin bad
  10. who knows, its not a school day so fatcow has no excuse
  11. f*** that, best closer we've had in a decade for a borderline 4/5 starter with injury concerns? pass
  12. Colvin is playing center right now though and playing very well
  13. meh with KC playing tampa, i cheer for KC every time
  14. I dont agree with your logic here. Youre saying a pitcher isn't any good unless he has a high K rate because contact pitchers just get lucky. Just because a ball is put in play doesnt mean it was a well hit ball. Think about the flip side, any hitter can put the ball in play on any given at bat, that doesnt mean its a good approach. Youre essentially saying a guy can go 0-4 and look completely foolish with weak ground balls and half swings, but the pitcher wasnt successful because he didnt strike him out? Nonsense
  15. the offseason could be too late for them. Look trade deadline
  16. great to hear. Cant expect the same sort of production from his bat right away, but he will still be a huge upgrade
  17. Theres a group on Facebook called Baseball Players With Dirty Style. It's basically a group of young ball players who talk about gear, post pictures, gain tips from each other etc. Anyways some guy posted a picture of himself hitting and captioned it: "Judge my swing please" So a bunch of people offered their advice, trying to critique the swing, and about 10 comments in Brett Lawrie comments "If y'all only really had a clue " He got some hate after that: "hey Brett Lawrie, little bit of a decline since the whole HGH testing eh??? Its okay, happens to the best of us" "Big bad social media junkie strikes again lol.. Jeeze. He could be offering advice and building his fan base on a personal level, instead he's insulting all of our baseball knowledge and alienating more fans. Keep it up, champ. Oh--get your batting average up too, please."
  18. well then you cant honestly believe thats what Gibbons is doing
  19. well apparently youre the idiot because the jays are at home and therefore there cant be a save situation in extras..idiot
