    I think he really wants to stay. I'd imagine there is no agreement in place because he's also liked some stuff about returning to Seattle but he's been very vocal on twitter about wanting to stay in Toronto. I know a lot of people on here don't want Taijuan at all partly due to injury risk and low reward, but this is a great article on fangraphs about his dive into analytics.     Thats what I thought, its been an hour and he's had hundreds of replies and hasn't corrected himself. Yeah the original tweet mentioned Brantley twice, Springer not even mentioned in the thread. Just seems like a lot of time has passed for only one guy out of ATL to know.

    On field performance, yes there is a comparison to be made, but to overlook the off the field stuff here is silly. It is known Josh Hamilton struggled with relapses after he signed his big contract. He openly talked about his inability to handle the pressure and his drug addiction. You can't look at the Hamilton deal when evaluating the Springer one

    Done deal according to Kenny Ken Kirby Yates is tied for first in RP fWAR since 2018 with Josh Hader. He has pitched 50 fewer innings.

    I highly doubt his salary is what is holding us back from pulling the trigger on any guy the FO is looking to sign

    Around 10M I wouldnt be mad about it at all. We need a lot more depth and an extra arm at that price is a no brainer IMO.
