  1. Markus and his team are making sure that all the stats are close to RL in all areas. My League standings on August 17: http://www.10-78.com/Pics/standings.jpg
  2. but anyone up for answering some questions? 1) You can simulate games quickly w/o having to watch them, right? YES 2) Computer AI is decent in terms of trades? (better than Xbox/PS) You have several combination of choices in the settings, very easy, easy, average, hard, very hard along with trading preferences: Heavily Favor Veterans, Favor Veterans, Neutral, Favor Prospects, Heavily Favor Prospects And the AI trading frequency: Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High. You have an option to shop 3 of your players around on each day. You can offer trades to any other teams at any time involving multiple players, if after July 31st. they must clear waivers. If you select the Commissioner mode you can edit anything you want in the game, force trades, edit player stats and all that stuff. 3) How do prospects develop, realistic ratio? (I know in 2K top prospects develop extremely slow if at all..and I heard in SHOW they always develop, which is equally gay) Propect development are pretty much like RL.
  3. I find it more fun to simulate and get realistic results. Getting involved in players trades, salary negotiation, promoting/demoting, control of my lineups, pitching rotation, basically everything involving GM and Managing my Blue Jays. Was fun to send JP back to the minors. Tried trading him but no one wants him. I do have my settings for trading on very hard so I can't take advantage of the AI.
  4. Also, here's Hairston in my league: http://www.10-78.com/Pics/hairston.jpg And Thole: http://www.10-78.com/Pics/thole.jpg
  5. My stats on August 17: http://www.10-78.com/Pics/batters.jpg http://www.10-78.com/Pics/pitchers.jpg
  6. Your settings aren't right. The injuries can be set to lower, I have mine set to modern era, which can be challenging but Markus said that they were true to the average in RL. Check their forums to get proper settings. Everything is pretty much adjustable in that game. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/ootp-14-general-discussions/
  7. Playing the simulation.... LOL
  8. Here's a picture of OOTP14 in game that I'm playing right now: http://www.10-78.com/Pics/ootp14pic2.jpg
  9. $20 for OOTP14 is a steal. OOTP15 will not be released till April, so buying both version is really only $55 at the moment if you pre-order OOTP15. You can easily transfer your OOTP14 to OOTP15 when it's released. I play as the Jays GM, play out all my games in one pitch mode. I only do player substitutions for my own team during the game so that it's a fair game with the AI. You have everything in that game. There will be small improvements when a new version is release, amazingly somehow they find ways to make an OOTP addict buy every version. I have tons of games and this is the one that I spend hours playing it almost every day. It's my main hobby since retiring over 9 years ago. You will not be disappointed with this game. You will be hooked by it, I promise.
  10. Yes, there are many active leagues: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/ootp-14-online-leagues/ Never bothered with one myself, just like playing solo. The computer AI is pretty good. Been playing this game over 10 years now, I always buy the new version every year. Very addictive.
  11. OOTP is the best Baseball Game simulation in the world: http://www.10-78.com/Pics/screenshot.png OOTP15 Pre-ordering saves you $5 right now: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/ootp-15-general-discussions/240058-out-park-baseball-15-announced.html Some screenshots of the new OOTP15: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/ootp-15-general-discussions/240357-first-ootp-15-screenshots.html
  12. Bonus for in-the-park home run Bonus for cycle
  13. Lets be fair here, Lawrie IS stupid.
  14. Burnett wants a WS ring, I'm sure the Jays will be on top of his list. Nothing like when he left Toronto.
  15. Tanaka big name FA with ZERO MLB experience, no thanks, I'll pass.
  16. An Ace ???? He hasn't pitched one inning in the MLB, lets see how he handles himself with the big bats before declaring him an ace.
  17. You're 100% correct on that one. There's nfw this MLB rookie is worth that kind of money.
  18. No way, he's unproven in MLB. The odds are less then 50/50 that he's successful in the show.
  19. 175 mil for someone who never pitched in the MBL, what a joke. I'll be cheering for our bats to plummel him in the first few innings, send him to the showers early in humiliation. As if he can pitch in the AL, how insulting. Now lets sign some real MLB pitchers.
  20. I cheered for Johnson but once he was caught I threw him under the bus like I would with all cheaters. Play by the rules if you want my respect. That's the only way to teach our kids. But to say because many are doing it then it's ok, that's just plain wrong.
  21. Two wrongs do not make one right. He cheated, I don't care who else cheated. Winning by cheating don't count in my books.
  22. Well it's certainly your choice to believe Bonds and others like him are just plain clean players. I'm just glad that the ones overseeing the sport are not that gullible.
