  1. so with Gurriel looking like the Shortstop next year and possibly beyond....where do you put Bichette? slide him over to 2nd?
  2. personally IDGAF what he does off the field.....when he is on the field, the Jays have a pretty good chance of winning. too many crybabies now-a-days.
  3. IIRC we got Travis D'Arnaud, Kyle Drabek and Michael Taylor for Halladay from the Phillies.
  4. If that was jeter sliding into goins foot with his hand no way that call is made.
  5. if they didn't sandbag the last 2 games vs KC last year i woulda hit my number.... 112-50
  6. i believe all the big upgrades are PS4 only
  7. i love how most people throw the rotation under the bus and we haven't even had 1 pitch of spring training yet....no we don't have a starting rotation on paper like the Dodgers, but the guys that we have can be average and get the job done with the lineup that we have. hell, i am not trying to be a homer but i think our rotation is going to be above average and better than most people think.
  8. average of 34 starts a year and he is making 1 Million per game started over 6 seasons. he is the Jennifer Aniston of the MLB
  9. lol when i see this it reminds me of this..... http://i.imgur.com/sRWhGRE.gif
  10. who's playing 3rd base in scenario #1??
  11. players make adjustments that can alter their career path to another level. look at guys like Edwin or Jose that changed up their batting stances and took them to another level. or even Halladay.....do we forget that he went all the way back down to A ball to redo his mechanics which turned him to the pitcher he became? it is still early in the offseason and have yet to see anything but maybe Happ just needed a change to his delivery to take him to that next level.
  12. i never said that. i am just saying that cool it the f*ck down. its a signing that didn't affect our farm and there is alot of time left till the season starts.
  13. you'd think with the reactions we are mid way through spring training and soon entering into the season.... christ guys, it is November freaking 27th and we have gotten depth with our starting rotation and 'could' enter the season with this as our top 5. this doesn't mean it is set in stone. lots of time left. good signing, gets the holes plugged and is manageable. We got Donaldson last year on the 28th of November. still haven't gotten to that date yet. simma down.
  14. win the first game 10-2 and lose the next 3 2-1. run differential dictates 13RF vs 8RA. just looking at the RF and RA vs the 1-3 record...what would u think?
  15. we are not in the ALCS without Pillar's defense in CF alone
  16. its for the ALDS MVP...not the ALDS Game 5 MVP. Pillar is deserving and should win the award.
  17. don't forget the possibility also with Dickey coming in for relief in Game 5 with the low pitch count and the fact he is a knuckler. Stroman with Dickey to follow will surely f*** up the bats all the while not causing any issue with pitching in the ALCS
  18. the pressure of that first homestand and how amped up the players would have been....i can understand the losses. having the games go back to Arlington where the pressure would be less (as ironic as that sounds) was needed. coming back home for the last game will surely host a better Jays team. Edit: after 22 years of no playoff baseball for the Jays and Canada
  19. it is the playoffs. in do or die you go with the best option available to continue. saving price for wednesday and burning both your top 2 starters is mind-boggling when you would be potentially lining up your 3 & 4 vs their 1 & 2. the only thing i question is putting in Price as early as he did. the only reason i could see would be this being Price's bullpen day and needing to keep him on schedule. you don't put in Price for 10-20 pitches and throw off his routine. the only W in this game that counts is the end result. harping on Gibby for not letting Dickey get the W is retarded.
  20. or he could have put in the mop up guys and they blow it, burning the pen in game 4, leading to everyone fuming at why Gibby didn't piggy back Dickey with Price.
  21. season series tie breaker
  22. its been 13 years since a player has hit the 300SO plateau and that season in 2002, both Johnson and Schilling of the Diamondbacks eclipsed it....Johnson with 334 and Schilling with 316
  23. I'd take Price / Stroman / Estrada / Dickey
  24. I picked 95 before the first pitch was thrown banking on guys like Travis, Pompey, Norris and Sanchez having strong rookie campaigns. Guess i am just a homer when it comes to my team lol
  25. Above in the red are those that are out of the contest. Those below are still in it and the remaining 6 games in bold is how the Jays have to finish to hit their mark.... Finish the season 0-6 z3r0s 91 Cyris 91 Frenchsoup 91 Baseballsss 91 S33n 91 Finish the season 1-5 Sdyment 92 Chappy 92 Saskjayfan 92 JaysAllMighty 92 Finish the season 2-4 Ehjays 93 Finish the season 3-3 joeclutchcarter 94 Finish the season 4-2 Jayzfan79 95 Finish the season 5-1 LetTheBallFly 96
