Arod will probably be suspended for the year so they free up 20 + mil to sign some pitching help . Add Pineda to that mix and they will again be tough . AL East is again going to be damn tough .

Well I would love for someone to take him off our hands but let's face it .We would have to pay most of that so look at 4.4 mil of that as a total loss and Happless in AAA at 1 mil.or so

yup , happless with an option isn,t too bad though . Buffalo needs starters too . I don,t mind having him in Buffalo for the fans there . We need to keep that franchise happy . I don't ever want to wind up in the PCL again . Rasmus is hot

I know we are all looking for a better draft position but I hate the yankees too much to ever hope we lose to them . In Fact I love this series putting the last nails in their coffin playoffs wise .

Can Happless possibly have enough value that someone will take him off our hands without having to pay them to do it ? Happ, Redmond and Rogers all out of options and we won't be carring all thre unless of course we are doing a gut and rebuild .

Ruiz !!!! , Suzuki as the back up but I would accept Suzuki/Molina . Thing is , AA has to take blame here .JPA should have been sent down and anyone brought in . Did not matter as we were long out of it . The pitching staff deserved better

Not a lot of options out there . The jays just can't seem to overpay enough to get free Agent pitchers and rebound candidates aren't stupid enough to pitch in the AL East .The farm system has been gutted of trade bait and what is left would be suicidal to move . I really am down to hoping one of Morrow or Romero bounce back , Happless can be unloaded in a salary dump . One of Rogers or Redmond improve a lot and win a rotation spot and One of the young guys or rebound guys really step up . Ruiz is signed and takes charge of the pitching staff and suddenly our defense becomes better than average . I know , I have resigned myself to a hope and a prayer . I also started buying Lotto tickets -
Another War ? Every year we have the same war ! war isn't perfect but it is the best we have so far . Even non sabermetric guys like me love it cause it brought defense and baserunning into the equation . Donaldson year has been absolutely amazing and as most of us on here are jays fans Defense should be foremost in our minds after the ugly year we had defensively . How many games did defensive blunders cost us . Trout is still the best player in baseball . I doubt anyone disagrees with that but does he win MVP ? I doubt it because of the playoff picture.

Hate to burst anyone,s bubble but the new posting rules will certainly change things if passed . Teams with the top 3 bids would then court the player and he would decide where to play . i suspect the posting fees to go down but the contracts to go way up . Really can't see Toronto getting Tanaka to play in Canada . At least not without a huge overpay . West Coast cities like LA , San Fransisco and Seattle would have a huge advantage . -

Well stated . In fact I think the odds of Romero coming back are about the same as JJ or Morrow giving us 160 innings . We have Morrow who if both stayed healthy is probably better than JJ but don't any hold your breath on either . We have a bunch of 6 and 7th type starters that are out of options .AA needs to try and dump Happless,s contract .
