Every year he always had a couple of minor league signs he thought might come around . He took a lot of ribbing over it and some real thrashings but never got excited . Just calmly stated his view . Perfect personallity for an Umpire . I think about all the hours he spent giving his time so Kids could play baseball. And all the crap he probably took from bad parents . But it is there and Boras really misread the market and draft pick compensation issue . Teams have a good idea of what a first round pick is worth in value . I'm surprised they haven't dumped him as an agent by now . I also think more teams are having second thoughts when dealing with him .

Once Happ comes off the DL we have 30 days . hopefully he is pitching well before then . Injuries happen and Happ is pretty good insurance even if redmond takes that spot and Happ moves into the BP . I just don't see releasing him at the end of the 30 days . Sierra is a different story , If we call up Gose then we don't need him and Fransisco would be a nice replacement BUT I think we need 2 infielders with Reyes,s Hammies .

That is damn sad Jay . Longest serving member of this board going back to the other one . Lived for baseball . Loved the Jays . Would have liked him to see them win once again i admit I'm probably the oldest guy on this board or close to it . Hope I last till the Jays win once again .
