Couple of hard hit fly balls but as long as they stay in the park I'm ok with it. He has given up a lot of long balls.

Does everyone realize an extention is Bailey type money . I just don't do this right now. I need to be almost garranteed a shot for me to do this .

So I suspect he has been sent down and not placed on irrevocable waivers. MLB trade rumors have it wrong as Hendriks was on the 40 man roster before the call up. He is in limbo for 10 days I think. If he is claimed they can pull him back. I still think the fake injury sent for rehab was the best move. just get Bautista and Edwin to go to him and explain the deal. Go down and pitch and get the command and the slider working. make a deal where if he isn't back up in 30 days they would release him. I think He will be claimed, teams like AZ and Texas are desperate for pitching.

The move clears room on the 40-man roster for tonight’s starter, Liam Hendriks, whose contract has been selected from Triple-A Buffalo.

I hate the deal as much as the next guy but i doubt even the Cleveland scouts saw Gomes as a starting Catcher. Blame this one on the toronto scouts and player development people who always had him as a part timer behind the dish.
