    I read thru the thread and saw Kirk,s predictions. When I read the Tomo Ohka part it just hit me. It was just so Kirksaw. I have been reading posts like that for over 10 years. I just wish Kirk could have got to see this version of the Jays.

    Off to the cabin . I hate Off Days when we are winning. Toughest month of the season coming up with lots of games against +500 teams. Just want to keep winning each series.

    I guess it depends on how he does in the 2nd half. There are teams that need a CF but he needs to put together 3 good months with the bat.

    Exactly! Long as you have a RHB to platoon with him. No way you don't snap up that option.

    We need to get Rasmus healthy and hitting a ton . Then he can be a trade chip come July if an injury occurs to a competitive team. I don't like the chance that a QO is an option here. Unless he breaks out, cuts the K,s down when back I don't see a team that will give up a first rounder.

    Long time before we have to even think about who we can trade for or who is even available. Trade talks won't even get going for another month . KC might have won their way back into things and be buyers instead of dealing Shields. Some might be on the DL and others might be suddenly available. Right now the Draft is front and center then the signing period and THEN we get into trade season.

    Exactly. AA takes the heat but I'm firmly in the camp that ownership and the Beest forced this on him. Yet if they play in October who will care.

    Used up his last option so he definitely plays all year in the majors next year. Rasmus will be gone so It looks like a platoon in Center next year with Gose/Pillar.

    Having to rethink my baseball tour this year. I was going to try and do KC and St Lou then catch Target on the way back. With the jays looking so good I might just drive down to Minny and catch a few games then jump a flight to toronto for some mid week games . Too frigging long a drive to TO and I like to pull my 5th wheel

    meh! Who cares who they hope for. Most are very good posters. Personally I hope the Ray get their act together about mid month as they begin a series with the O,s. 7 games against the O,s and then the Yanks at the end of the month.

    Cringe but with the seemingly lack of resources it may be the best we can hope for. now if suddenly the fans start going thru the turnstiles that may change.

    I think AA stated very clearly on XM radio that 1) They would be looking for a rental, 2) We can't keep trading off our young pitching and 3) I'm damn sure AA will want to see what Morrow has to offer which is supposed to happen before the deadline. As the nails keep getting hammered into Tampa,s coffin you know Price will be on the market sooner than most to try and extract more value. Won't be surprised if he is moved by the Allstar break. I just hope some NL team steps up.

    You don't waste another option!!! Options are yearly, during that year you can call up and send the guy down constantly and it is STILL only 1 option And yes Stroman,s start was to be a one off then back to AAA. however they may rethink that.

    I made the mistake of reading some of the GDT s***. Lose one to an error in that would have won the game , Fine vent but really s*** happens but the Vargas game was when all the bipolar s*** came out. Look at Vargas,s stats, he is like Buehrle lite. He has his games when his command is spot on. Suddenly the team was s***! This from a team that had just won 9 strait. Hell how can you not like this team! It is firing on all cylinders right now. Can't stay mad thou cause they called up Taveras

    Actually you were partly right . Hell there are tons of good posters on this board but after reading all the moaning and groaning over a couple of hard losses after winning 9 straight i lost it on a complaint about Lind over RBI,s for Christs sake . Next thing they will post is that we should dump Hutch cause he isn't getting enough wins or that the Shark isn't good to trade for cause he has no wins. Sometimes you have to vent

    Long as they keep beating each other up and split games it works for me . they keep throwing at eachother some one is bound to get hurt. BTW I belong to the group who doesn't pretend to know better than the manager or the GM . should have been 1/4 and 1/4

    FFS , The team is 9 games over 500 in first place, 2nd in baseball in OPS, 1st in runs scored and people are actually bitching about Gibby,s lineup construction. 1/2 on this board are Bipolar armchair managers and the other f***ing half think they can be the best GM in baseball. The Team is winning! will it keep up? who know with this rotation but enjoy it while it lasts.
