  1. jay , Boxy is a follower . Don't think he has ever has an original thought . He only posts after Nick and Stache come in a thread and post their opinions and then blasts anyone who disagree with them . I usually ignore him but if my posts make him sick I really hope he pukes his guts out LOL On the other hand while I don't always agree with Nick and Stache they are quality posters who have opinions based on good baseball sense and voice it
  2. Well I hope you puke your guts out Boxy . You guys are wrong all the time but would NEVER admit it while I admit to being way wrong on guys like JPA If you read the wole thread you would klnow I posted that i think he should still be a platoon player
  3. Can't totally disagree with you stache . I really bought into your platoon of Lind and while neither of us expected this we both felt he would be good enough IF he never faced a lefty . i still think that is probably true but what motivated Lind was his being DFAd last year and seeing his carreer end in site . I said many times I felt he would come to camp in shape and focused on baseball . I think he will next year too cause it is a contract year again . I would NEVER sign him to more than a one year deal . rasmus I wanted traded in May . I felt Gose would give us almost as much and the piece we got from Rasmus would help . Now I'm not sure . Can Mottola work his magic . I really did f*** up on JPA . I thought he would improve and posted that . I beat up on the guys who s*** on JPA every post but he has absolutely NO clue what the strike zone is ! NONE
  4. As I posted to Nick . since we are all in for 3 years not just this one it is too early to wholesale sell off and too small a sample size of the team performance to sell low.
  5. ******** Nick Lots wanted Cecil gone and many wanted Rasmus traded to get Gose into center and I,ll bet lind is still hitting well at years end . Not saying we shouldn't sell high on Lind but since we are all f***ing in for the next 2and a half years we might keep him as we can't replace his bat for 5 mil. It is too early to dismantle this team . Trade JJ , Oliver , davis ,Boni as long as you get value fine but you guys who want a wholesale rebuild are looking at TOO SMALL A SAMPLE to use your own words right back at you.
  6. lets be fair gordie D , for a hugely overworked pen , it has been pretty decent and while they may be way over performing their FIP the huge workload could be the cause . I like the pen as it is and can see them lowering that FIP if their workload decreases .
  7. Not a hope in hell AA moves all those guys and he knows that . That is just Zaun being Zaun . I think he wants to be the baseball version of Don cherry . What makes sense is moving Johnson ( IF he is pitching well ) and Oliver , Davis and any reliever out of the core .. If JJ and Oliver were pitching really well I can see them getting a pretty good prospect from St Louis for them Kolten Wong ?? . Again they would have to be back pitching great.
  8. I knew f***ing well you were one who wouldn't admit you were wrong and would find something else to post about it. I,m one who admits I was wrong . like luis perez . You were the ONLY one on this board who felt he would be good if moved to the BP and we beat you up on it but I admitted to You I was wrong .
  9. well IF we lose 26 strait I,ll take the blame .
  10. Now East , You read my posts . No I did not say he would be this good neither did I say cecil would be our best reliever Go back and read mine and spanky,s posts . We said Lind would have an OPS over 800 if he never faced a lefty . We were really wanting Gomes to platoon with him . As I posted I was partly right
  11. No Most won't . I don't see some of the real Lind haters on this board admitting they were wrong I'll admit i was wrong on Rasmus . Earlier in the year I wanted to deal him , Now I'm not so sure . I was wrong on JPA , I thought he would improve both defensively and his OBP . Wrong on Morrow and Lawrie . Now I HOPE I was really wrong on the Rogers deal . I didn't like this deal and especially when Reyes went down . Kawasaki has done everything we could have asked for and If Rogers keeps improving and getting lucky that trade may turn out good . I was right on Lind . Well partly right . I flat out felt he would have a good year if he NEVER faced a lefty . Suddenly he is hitting lefties and using the whole field . Ditto Cecil who I felt would be ok against lefties but he has been lites out against everyone . Hats off to Chad Mottola
  12. At the start of the season the bulk of this fanbase wanted Lind , JPA , Cecil and to a lesser degree Rasmus Gone . Lind is hitting and getting on base better than anyone else on this team . Cecil is the best reliever on this team . Rasmus is coming around . Still K,s too much but his average is improving Only JPA continues to struggle And the darlings , Morrow has been s*** . Lawrie has been s*** Funny how baseball works .
  13. common Saki , get a hit so I can see a bow or something
  14. No longer a save for Casey so let Cecil pitch and get the save .
  15. I can honestly say I thought both would have good years if used to their strengths . Spanky and I and a few others . Not this good thou . I'm going to be wrong on Izturis and Rasmus
  16. Cecil has been frigging great . Now get Oliver pitching well and JJ and package the two of them for Kolten Wong
  17. You and most of us . saki deserves to be on this team and I believe we are better off with him at 2nd working counts and entertaining everyone . If Buehrle says he is his best teammate ever , that says lots ! Who do we send down from the pen ??? That is the problem
  18. Wish he did but unfortunately Boni doesn't . Best we can hope for is a trade as I don't think he will move or cut Derosa . Still saki makes this a better team and I would rather have him at 2nd base
  19. All about who has the options , No one ever said it was fair
  20. Everyone likes him but He has options and the other two don't
  21. We have very few ( Maybe none ) hitters who have a good two strike approach
  22. With all their pitching injuries I'm surprised they didn't stretch out Ross . They just must value him too much in the pen.
