    Well we have excess BP arms but de Jesus must surely be out of options . His development was delayed by injury so he just might be finally coming into his own. Pirates will probably be focusing on a short term starter

    First he has to stay healthy and start pitching decent or no one would claim him . Then the offer would have to be better than the comp pick . Then if he was claimed for blocking reasons you try do a deal with that team and if it isn't good just pull him back.

    Or Mesoraco . but I think Cincy will only tweak their roster now that Cueto is back . Now if JJ suddenly had ACE stuff and showed it for 4 or 5 starts he may interest them ,especially if you basically told them and the cards that it was between them so push your best offer up now cause he is going to one of you . Moot point now since I have to agree with chappy and others that AA won't deal for prospects . he'll be adding not subtracting

    Jay while I suspect his BABIP will come down when defenses start adjusting to his all fields approach ,I do believe it will remain high foe exactly that reason . Easier to defense a pull hitter than a guy who uses the whole field . He also seems to have a better 2 strike approach . Long as he keeps hitting this way i expect a higher than normal BABIP

    Cincy has ludwick coming back after the AS break and Heisley soon but Choo is no CF . Still They will take what they can get out of Robinson till those guys come back . Not a hope in hell they move any of their MLB rotation . Prospects maybe

    Hate to burst everybody,s bubble but the padres do it the other way . they trade the expensive guys like Rasmus for the young kids . Sure Hedges is expendable to them with grandal there but if they move him it will be for a guy that has 5 or 6 years control and is dirt cheap . No way they take on Rasmus,s (expect 7 mil) contract

    Cobb was joking with teamates and said he only had a headache . released from hospital the Rays put him on only the 7 day DL . Wow , must figure he will be back soon ?

    The main problem with the A,s getting a new stadium is the Giants blocking it in San Jose . San Jose used to be A,s territory but when the Giants built their new stadium the A,s gave them San Jose ( Not sure if money was involved ). Had the A,s not given up their territory rights they would have a new stadium by now . As for McAfee , and the raw sewage . It is a s*** park , just living up to it,s name

    Izturis is starting to hit and while his range isn't great will suffice at 2nd . Ryan doesn't help us . Saki hits as good . Melky is hurt . Give him 15 days off when Reyes comes back and he should improve .

    Pillar is a tweener . Not good enough defensively for CF and not enough bat for a corner . Ceiling Casper Wells .

    Christ , We should be selling even if we are competitive . at least the guys who are Free agents . JJ pitching well gives us more at the deadline than a comp pick and packaged with Oliver (If pitching well could get us something very good . Both pieces we won't have next year . If we gut our minor leagues any more I will be supremely pissed . no need . If we caught lightning in a bottle in Long Dong Wong and Lucky E Rogers then we really have no need to add but a huge 40 man need to detract .

    Just keep kawasaki up and DL Melky and bring Reyes back then Send down Perez when morrow comes back

    After watching Melky try to run today it was almost painful . I don't think they have any choice , get reyes back and DL the guy before it gets too bad
