    Yeah I feel like Pillar is still giving it his all out there, he's just not quite as quick as he used to be. He was never the fastest and instead relied on good instincts and top notch effort. Any decline in the already average speed is going to be a disaster for him, and I think we are starting to see it happen.

    I think the eye test shows he's lost a step already. Its great that Alford looks like he's ready to contribute because the Pillar era is likely coming to an abrupt end

    I would imagine Martin would get some interest as long as the Jays ate some salary. Martin at 13M per year is an excellent piece. Tulo is the only real immovable contract and that isn't going to make it any harder to rebuild especially considering he isn't really blocking anyone yet. Unless you consider Urena a real prospect, but it looks like he might be the next Ryan Goins as opposed to a real starting SS

    He's already done enough as a reliever to be excited. He moved into the rotation out of necessity. It will be good to get him back into the pen where he's had so much success

    So the idea is that he will be rotting on the bench and they don't want to subject anyone with any amount of upside to that. I guess that makes sense
