    I don't see this front office trading Donaldson unless the team is 15 back at the deadline next year. Shapiro has said on a few occasions already that they are looking to build on the strong fan base and attendance - so trading our best player before the season even starts is probably out of the question.

    It's a great idea to have good cost controlled players but you can't bank on Bautista or Estrada like breakouts. It's honestly a miracle that it looks like we got lucky again with Smoak. The strategy should be to fill up the roster with good young players from the minors and relatively cheap role player veterans then spend big money on 3 or 4 superstar free agents to bring you over the top. This team has money and should certainly use it.

    Fun game to watch on both sides of the ball. Some big hits and nice defensive plays but most of all some really nice pitching. Good game!

    Buck is so much better sharing stories and knowledge from his playing days. Dan as play by play and Buck as color is a great combination.

    Pearson has a hard fastball but clearly had some control problems that outing. The breaking ball was average at best as well. Not seeing a pitcher who is ready to be fast tracked to an mlb bullpen. He looks like he needs some work for sure

    Yes just a bounce back from Ryan goins territory is all I ask. As for the free agent contracts - obviously there is a lot of money coming off the books in the next few years and they've said they want to be competitive so I really hope they try to make a bit of a splash to fix the huge holes. I'd be pumped to bring in Otani.

    That's not a terrible core at all I don't think. Especially if Tulo can bounce back and Travis/Donaldson aren't hurt. Sign Darvish and JD Martinez, bring back Estrada as 5th starter boom playoffs.
