Why wouldn't he at least give it a shot for a year and see if they could make it work? There must have been some instant bad blood developed in that first meeting. That or, as Keith Law suggested, they plan on a significant tear-down of the roster that he didn't want to be a part of.

    we're a patient team. All of a sudden getting strikes called against us 5 inches off the plate sucks, when they weren't called all game. Still should have found a way to put the ball in play somewhere.
