    Well I guess that's a risk they are willing to take. I imagine they'd still get some cash next year for a posting fee even if he did blow his arm out. Teams would still be willing to take the risk, Tanaka would be the one most hurt in that scenario as he'd get a lot lower contract.

    That's what I'm thinking. I think we won't see Tanaka getting posted this year. Rakuten will still get the same 20Million next offseason, but by holding onto him for 1 more season they stand to benefit more. He'll be great for marketing purposes and they'll be able to make another run at the championship.

    I could agree with Harper. But not Stanton. They're only seperated by 3 years of age. McCutchen plays CF while Stanton is only OF. I'd probably rank them Trout>>Harper>McCutchen>Stanton. And you can never forget about Miguel Cabrera, I bet he goes somewhere in there.

And it's looking like the Yankees are gonna be over the limit again this year. Right now they are at $177.7 million for 15 players. Add in 12 million for player benefits. That brings them just over the 189 Million mark already. There's a good chance they'll be over the limit even if A-Rod is suspended for the year.

    If they're over such an age they don't apply to the cap rules. They would become free agents. This guy doesn't count towards the international cap. I think the rule is if they are 24 and over they don't count?

    Davidson was one of the D-Backs top prospects. Not sure what's so good about him though. Does seem to have some power, but will never have a high average, also strikes out a lot. I had him in the DDL at the beginning of the offseason but traded him straight up for Aaron Sanchez.

    They would improve. There's more subpar players in the 25-29 age range then the 20-24 age range. In the 20-24 age range the average- belowaverage players are still in the minors getting seasoning. While the older group is up in the majors filling lesser roles because they have nothing else to work on but still suck.

    I'd take him for depth. For who ever gets injured first. Or maybe even as the #5 if he's ready to go on opening day. In case they wanna give stroman a little more time in the minors.
