I had to dump a player to do the Shields/Lee trade with you. So I dropped Vogelsong, because I didn't want to drop anyone else from my team. Trades have been done like this before.

Ya, that wasn't so good. Maybe he should look towards Jobu. At least he may be able to help him hit the curve, unlike Jesus. If only I would have had Clint Eastwood around to tell me to not draft him.

I like this deal for the Padres. De Paula is actually a pitcher that could be something. He's quite a bit better than Nolin. His ceiling is probably a #2 starter. He's got a plus fastball that can reach upper 90s, along with an average change and slider. He's a little on the older side, but lost a couple years due to visa/name issues. He's following the path of a college pitcher, except he was sitting out the years that a college pitcher would have been pitching in college. Jays probably would have had to trade Tirado to match De Paula. So would you guys wanna move Tirado for 3 months of a 3B who may be broke? -

I think it was just an off day for him. If it makes you feel better, Lee didn't do any better... 12 hit, 6 earned runs, in 5.2 innings.

I'm building a team with the assumption that this league is gonna last for ever and ever.

I'm trying to build a team that'll be a contender year after year. Most of my best players are under 30, with a bunch still under 25. My only main roster players over 30 are Shields, Gonzalez, and Hamilton. With Hamilton being the oldest at 33.

I don't consider this selling. I consider it jumping ship on Lee before he has career ending TJ Surgery. Shields isn't as good as Lee but I should get a couple more years out of him. I didn't like what I saw from Lee's rehab starts. I've been wrong planty of times though. And Vogelsong was just a guy that i had to move to clear a roster spot.
