  1. Wrong question. J-Force is male and female. That would make a great side bet. Loser has to apply to J-Force/
  2. I'm sure she'd find that quite flattering.
  3. Either you cheated or you're really, really old. Like over 30.
  4. If the Expos were still around, they could have had Martinez and Johnson at the same time. Trivia (no googling). 1) What player did the Expos trade to get Pedro Martinez? 2) What player did the Expos obtain when they traded away Randy Johnson?
  5. That's what I tried to go. Bought mlbtv and used it through my PS3, but half the time it gives me an error, and the other half the time it just lags a lot.
  6. I'm in Toronto, and I got hit with the blackout. I got a proxy, and it was alright for watching on my computer, but when I put it on my TV it was super slow and glitchy. Would not recommend it.
  7. Thought you were already in there. Ok GD first too. Dang!
  8. FYI, I want into DDL eventually. I'll concede that JFaS and King should be ahead of me.
  9. Actually, Walks are worth much less than singles which further supports your point.
  10. Are you guys really hassling him over a third round Milb pick?
  11. That's what I asked Santa for. It's a Christmas miracle!
  12. Maybe the Jays can pry Mercer away from the Pirates now.
  13. Kemp, Upton, Myers. Say what you want, but that's a pretty impressive outfield they've established in less than a week.
  14. We could probably sign Everth Cabrera pretty cheap. Grab him for $2-$3 million pretty easy. Of course, we'll want to wait to confirm he's not going to prison first. That way, either Cabrera or Reyes can slide over, and we have a decent backup at shortstop.
  15. I had to recheck to see if I accidentally titled the thread "If you are below average IQ, come post in this thread and you will get a free toaster."
  16. In the last two years, we have lost: Rajai Davis Adam Lind Colby Rasmus JP Arencibia Brett Lawrie Team IQ must have doubled. Those were some of the dumbest players that have ever played the game. Actually, I'm not sure about Lind. I could never tell if he was really dumb or really smart and just trolling everyone.
  17. I hate the 'all in' and 'go for it' mentalities. Too many teams do this. Things are partially aligned, and then they unload most of the farm for one-year-rentals to push them the extra mile. Or even worse, they want a player's next three productive years, but sign them to a seven year deal, because that's the only way to make it happen. Instead, I'd like to see some smart baseball moves that allows us to contend every year. I realize that we have a limited window with Bautista and Encarnacion, but if we built a good, sustainable core around them, they might actually want to re-sign. The Martin and Donaldson moves were great. Hopefully, we see more like that.
  18. Fair point. But still think he's worth a 3 million gamble. Not sure if can close, but could still be a valuable bullpen piece. If he did know about the food poisoning, I'm not sure why he pouted, when Gibby put Sanchez into close, instead of him.
  19. Morrow isn't worth nearly that much. I'd put his value at 3 million. I'd rather bring Janssen back. He was really bad in the last half of last year, but if the food poisoning issue is legit, and he could return to 2013 form, there's a real bargain to be had. I'd also like to bring in Aoki. A consistent .350 OBP guy at the top of the order would be great in front of Bautista and Encarnacion.
  20. In terms of 2B, we could probably pick up Everth Cabrera for a couple million. That would also give us the option of letting him play short and shifting Reyes to 2B. He had a down year last year, but he was great the two previous seasons, and he's only 28. I'd be willing to gamble a couple million that he's gotten better at avoiding detection.
  21. Everyone that has a no-trade-list has Toronto on their no trade list.
  22. I'd rather go out and sign five underperforming starters, turn them into relievers and see what sticks to the wall. A lot of very good closers used to be below average starters with control problems. By allowing them to reduce their pitch selection to two pitches, and only have to pitch one inning a game, they can often add a couple mph in velocity, and get past hitters one time.
  23. OK, now that you see how crappy Osuna is supposed to be, you can trade him to me for peanuts.
  24. It's obvious you work for the government. In government, you get a year-end-budget. If you don't spend it by the end of the year, they assume you don't need it, and decrease it for the following year. So each year, in November and December, government departments heads go out and spend a boatload of money on the stupidest s*** they can find, in order to claim they can't possibly afford a budget reduction. You're using the same logic here. You think that somehow by blowing $40 million a year, on Buehrle and Reyes, we've improved the situation by showing Rogers how dependent we are on a big payroll. It's horribly flawed logic. Rogers is a corporation. Attendance and profit are what drive the payroll - not previous expenses.
