  1. Relax https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/blue-jays-add-martinez-zulueta-barger-and-horwitz-to-40-man-roster-ahead-of-deadline/
  2. Mining through that. It looks like you want to trade Jansen, which would be a colossal mistake.
  3. Here are the projections. I've noted decline next to the players I would release. Vladimir Guerrero Jr: $14.8 million Teoscar Hernandez: $14.1 million Bo Bichette: $6.1 million Raimel Tapia: $5.2 million - RELEASE Jordan Romano: $4.4 million Danny Jansen: $3.7 million Adam Cimber: $3.2 million Cavan Biggio: $2.6 million Santiago Espinal: $2.1 million Tim Mayza: $1.9 million Trevor Richards: $1.5 million Bradley Zimmer: $1.3 million - RELEASE Trent Thornton: $1.1 million - RELEASE
  4. I feel like without Espino, the set is incomplete.
  5. Pressure is off now. Manoah will find his form. He just had a bit of stage fright. Now, he's locked in. We can get this back
  6. Yes. I saw that. And they used him as DH again today. Could it be that the Jays are finally starting to figure it out in time for the playoffs, or will they continue to give way too many AB to Tapia during the playoffs.
  7. SWR scheduled for the start tomorrow. Now we get to see how much we will regret the Berrios trade. I admit I liked the Berrios trade at the time.
  8. Danny and Bo are the two best hitters in our lineup right now, but they still bat Danny 8th or 9th, and never let him DH, when he isn't catching. I was hoping Schneider would figure it out, after Montoyo left, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Do these guys not look at statistics at all?
  9. God, I hate Krapia. Why is he playing everyday. Surely, we could do some combo of Whit, Teoscar and Springer in the OF
  10. This contest is open to anyone with over 500 posts on BJMB $50 prize to the closest. 1) Pick the team. 2) Pick the number of years. 3) Pick the total amount. Yankees - 10 - 375 million. The # of years will serve as a tiebreak if multipe people get the team right. The total amount will serve as the tiebreak if multuiple people get the team and years right. It does not matter if you guess over or under the correct amount - only the actual distance from the correct amount matters. If there is a tie after all tiebreaks have been resolved, the money will go to the person who picked first.
  11. Jansen definitely struggled after that finger injury, but he seems to be back on track now. Hopefully, he can creep his way up from 8th by the end of the year.
  12. Twins cut Aaron Sanchez loose. I think we should pick him up. He's been surprisingly OK, and I think he would be an upgrade over the White/Kikuchi auto-loss we've been strutting out there.
  13. Don't have a lot of pieces for contending teams, but can part with: Paul Sewald: Mariners closer with 15 saves. Kyle Finnegan: newly appointed Nationals closer. Looking for picks or prospects. Otherwise, pretty much everyone on my roster over 25 is movable.
  14. Too Confusing. Guys, let's just start over. Everybody starts at 0-0 and it comes down the final few weeks.
  15. Updated the trade block, but basically offering Daniel Vogelbach, Jorge Polanco and Paul Sewald Looking for starting pitchers.
  16. It's not a bad move. We can use some depth going into the second-half. The positional versatlity is key. 2nd base wasn't a huge position of need. With Chapman red hot, Espinal and Biggio are relegated mostly to 2B., where they are doing fine. OF we can use more help though. Springer/Gourriel, Teoscar are great, but we can use a quality 4th OF, and Merrifield certainly qualifies for that. The trade is only disappointing because I think everyone wanted an elite bullpen guy (Bass is decent, but maybe a little underwhelming), or a decent starter (someone better than Mitch White).
  17. Number of games Jansen has been put at DH from 2020-2022: 0 Cuz he's a defensive catcher. Duh! Why would you possibly want to get his bat into the lineup without his glove? It's not even a 2-catcher same game thing. Kirk gets to be the DH all the time. For some reason, they still don't see Jansen as an offensive contributor, worthy of being the DH. Tapia and Zimmer can be used as the DH, but not Jansen. Not good enough with the stick apparently.
  18. Can we move Jansen out of the 8-hole now?
  19. Discounting Remaining Inventory. Accepting reasonable picks/upgrades, as well as milb players. 20. Yo Eze, fix the trade and I'll accept the deal. Looks like this trade will give you more than 26.
  21. Let's put Tapia in at DH instead of Jansen. That makes a lot of sense. Need his superior bat to ball skills in the lineup as much as possible.
  22. Another HR tonight. Keep batting him 7th bitches.
  23. In fairness, he's been a better hitter than....every other player in MLB since the second half of last year.
  24. Update: Going fast. ̶P̶a̶t̶r̶i̶c̶k̶ ̶W̶i̶s̶d̶o̶m̶ Ben Gamel Daniel Vogelbach Jesus Aguilar Marcus Semien Jeimer Candelario Lourdes Gourriel Jesse Winker Alex Verdugo Pitchers ̶S̶a̶n̶d̶y̶ ̶A̶l̶c̶a̶n̶t̶a̶r̶a̶ Logan Webb ̶J̶o̶s̶h̶ ̶H̶a̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶D̶a̶v̶i̶d̶ ̶B̶e̶d̶n̶a̶r̶
