  1. Gerrit Cole is having TJS tomorrow, ouch.
  2. I just noticed or was reminded the Jays ended up 4th in our division in '21, what a f***ing bastard of a year and finish. 😥
  3. Yeah, I'm off the JDM kick, thanks guys, now Robertson and Grandal sound good. That trio concerning Kirk as well are putting up some sexy stats and W's. Seriously, extend Kirk. He's killing baseballs again, with sublime tools other than baserunning. It needs to be done.
  4. Jays are up on the MLBN for 30/15, cool beans.
  5. Wagner showing life the last few days... 😎
  6. I could live with that for a month.
  7. I wanted him before the Swanson news, I'd give the guy 8M all day, whether they signed Tate or not. Tate doesn't stop a Robertson sign. Imo.
  8. Nice work Jesse as per usual, I'd say Roden has 10 more days to make this team this season, right now they can't not take him. General Manager Ross Atkins caught a few people by surprise in February, when Keegan Matheson asked which prospects he was excited about going into spring and he called out Roden specifically saying, “I’ll single out and put some pressure on Alan Roden. He’s done so much to put himself in a position to move through the system quickly.” Its quite rare for Atkins to call out a prospect in the public like that, and Roden appears to be listening. So far in the Spring he’s 6-for-14 with two home runs. On top of that, he’s drawn four walks, has been hit by three pitches, and has yet to strike out in his 21 plate appearances. Really impressive stuff. Yeah, this kid's likely going to make the team.
  9. Is Wagner making the team? Idk.
  10. Nice article, Davy... I believe the number David Ortiz tweeted out was his ask 5/585M... that's an absurd amount of money, Jays best bet is to match what he's offered in FA next winter, we'll see what his real market value is then, and if he stays with his word on being a Blue Jay for life. Cause I for one don't believe a bad base running and defensive 1B is worth anything close to what this kid's camp thinks he's worth. He has too many dingleberries in his ear after that stupid contract given out to Soto, but this guy isn't even in Soto's echelon. VGJ left me looking at him in a different light after this offseason's nonsense with an arbitrary deadline and trying to muscle the team into caving to his demands, I'm quite glad Atkins took the high road here and didn't cave to his outlandish demands as I said, I doubt there's a market into the 5's with this kid next winter, so now we wait.
  11. John Schneider said a lot of guys are doing what we asked, but we have a lot of spring games here left before we comment on that. IE; Roden and others on making the team.
  12. BP that matter are getting it done, nice.
  13. Case in point in regards to Yariel, he looked sharp, we need that consistently... https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/news/yariel-rodriguez-strikes-out-four-in-second-spring-training-start
  14. I was pumped to see him pitch this season after that 2nd half, hopefully this forearm issue again, isn't too serious. It's recurring so that's no bueno.
  15. I'd lean Tucker as well I think. Depends on this year I guess, big season for both of them.
  16. Francis getting killed by the walks and damage HR's. Otherwise his stuff looks similar, great K rate. Bloss is having trouble with location that's getting him in trouble, Yariel looked great his last outing, nothing to worrisome at this point, just stay healthy boys, Lauer pitched 3 clean innings too with 2 K's, noice.
  17. Not sure, haven't checked his savant page, from what I've seen he's been the MAD-MAX of years past. Zero walks and 14K's through his first nine innings is boner inducing.
  18. Pitching in Dunedin today was sublime. ⚾ Roden wants to make this team. That HR was special, if you've not seen it, I suggest you do. Ole Brown Eye is pitching like a Cy Young candidate, I pray for good health. Hitting stats are pretty sexy... https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/stats/
