    Changes I want as a fan (too bad our wants don't mean s***!) is a decently high floor, get rid of service time manipulation. I just want to see good games with the best players the teams have.

    With the Seager news I can only imagine that means the Jays are in on Story, which I love. I've always been a big fan of his game and coming off a down year with the bat it's not a bad time to target him (which was likely BABIP driven, and he still had a 3.5 WAR season). Only a year and a half older than Seager, and has been WAY more durable. I'm still hoping (irrationally) that he'll take a Semien deal for 1 year to rebuild the value heading into next FA

    If you want to sign another pitcher what is the list of realistic targets? - Rodon - Duffy - Kikuchi - Kim - Bundy - Wood Dead-Cat Bounce Old Guys; - Greinke - Paxton - Hamels Certainly enough options (and prob more than I listed) that we could find someone good, or someone we can throw into the Pearson/Stripr pile and see who steps up.

    I still wonder if Story takes the 1 year deal to get out from under the QC while hopefully putting up a more typical year. He's not exactly a comparable to Marcus, as he has a longer track record, but its at least imaginable. Also 5 years of Braynt wouldn't break my heart.

    Maybe its just me being dumb again, but god I hate Fantrax. Sequence goes as thus. Me: Oh, Marchessault is off IR, better get him back on the bench. *drops someone and moves him to active roster Me: Hey, he's going to play tomorrow, better put him in the lineup. FT: Oi! You can't add Marchessault to the lineup! You have a player who isn't on IR listed on your IR. Some bloke named Marchessault. Me: Oh, there must be some mistake, I dropped somoene and moved him back to my bench FT: Don't get cheeky with me son! I'm looking at your roster the day before and he's definitely on IR. Me: Yeah, but I fixed tha.... oh f***'n never mind. I'll just do the proper thing and forget to add him to my lineup tomorrow FINE!

    Yeah this is a great layout for us. Biggest money late and in the opt out years. Still confused how this is so cheap

    It basically had to be that much vs the QC he's leaving behind, but that seems like a lot for the Angels when you factor in the draft pick.

    20M yearly / 3 WAR = 6.66M/WAR. I expect we'll get more than 3 WAR on a bunch of those years, but even if its only an average of 3 per year it seems like a steal. That's what I was getting at.

    He can be pretty reliably expected to pitch for 3 WAR a year, so that's only $6.66M/WAR. Just seems so low. Obviously he's likely to beat 3 some years (was 4 the last 2 seasons) and be lower some others (especially at the end), but damn.
