Montoyo said the umpires ruled that the field was no longer playable because of all the rain. #BlueJays were the ones who requested MLB wait as long as it did because Montoyo wanted to give his team a chance to come back.
Looks like they cannot protect the golden boy, now.

Does it really matter if you can throw a strike? Every pitcher in professional baseball should fundamentally be able to throw a strike.
And if you can't, your command is probably a 20, maybe worse.
This is not directed at you, but this brings us full circle to the argument in spring training. No one likes watching young players struggle (even Vlad).
It's astonishing to me that there are people clamoring on this forum to call Alford up while he's getting embarrassed in AAA. He would get eaten alive at the major league level right now.
