Might have made one or two picks differently but nothing absurd. I think my only real weakness is that I didn't get into the top 3 picks of the draft to pickup a MacKinnon/Eichel/Kucherov level player. Dropped off considerably after pick 3. I was debating Marner with my first pick but opted for Hellebuyck as I wasn't sure if Les Nordekes was going to grab him or not. Rantanen is (if you squint) Marner-ish anyway so I don't think this affected me that much. Most excited about my prospect picks, probably. I am certain that at least one of Kaliyev, Tomasino or McMichael will be a star, if not two. They were three of my highest ranked prospects in the draft. Also really liked picking up Kirby Dach in the mid rounds. Not hard to see him being a first-line centre for the next 10+ years.

Which moves? Tracey, Graves and Dvorak?

Don't really want part of him. There's no guarantee he beats out Delia or Lankinen for the job. Worth a shot for Nordekes team though who has no goalies. I'd have taken him if he was prospect eligible.

I do like the cutdown as there is a little bit more strategy involved as to who you keep and who you don't. I'm not sure why we would really need offseason free agency anyway. I think I would rather keep the cutdown and decrease the waiver draft to 3 rounds. Put everyone on waivers at the end of round 3 instead of rounds 4 and 5. Thoughts?
